The various backstories of the characters are part of her life experiences, that's makes it interesting but it's a shame the pace is kinda bad

The mother had to play her role in God's "story" as the villain's wife just like how mc always had to play her role as a villainess and couldn't not act evil. The mom loved the dad a lot but the "story" caused her to run away (even if she doesn't want to). After the mother's death, she was actually the one that was supposed to go back to the past and not mc. But the mom gave up that opportunity for mc because she wanted mc to be happy and believes mc can be happy with the dad and help him move on from her death. (Also another reason she gave up the opportunity to go back in time to mc is because the mom had a hidden terminal illness or something, and she was always fated to die, so even if she went back to the past, she would end up dead anyways). It's been a while since I read the spoilers so there could be a few things off, but this is generally why the mom ran away.
