Edith, Liz, and the duchess get ambushed when they’re in a carriage. Edith gets pretty beat up in the process. All 3 are taken to a dungeon, where Edith gets beat up some more. Edith is in a seperate, hidden room. Cliff comes with some knights and they rescue Liz and the duchess, while Edith is thought to be a traitor and they leave without her. Some other stuff happens, and Edith gets caught by the dukes knights. Shes sent over to the dukedom where she’s being judged whether or not to join her og familys execution. Edith has accepted her death now

After Edith gets caught, her og family tries to drag her down with them. Dukes family finally see her clearly and she’s beaten so badly that they hardly recognize her. ML tries to argue against her execution but Edith just quietly accepts it. The dukes family has to discuss her punishment so she gets sent to another dungeon while her og family faces execution. Since Edith is accepting death without trying to change the story, she finally lifts the final barrier that the author put, but theres no point and everythings too late.
Liz, the author, is crazy mad that mc keeps messing everything up. Liz goes to the dungeon with the look of, “im giving edith something to warm her up since its cold in there.” In the dungeon, Liz stabs herself and calls for help. Cliff n Killeon come running. She claims that MC was trying to kill her. Killeon said its impossible since the weapon was body-temperature and Edith is ice cold atm. So they start questioning Liz on why shes lying until Liz breaks down. Killeon noticed Edith’s condition and tries to help her. He calls for a doctor and her maid.
The long hair secretary guy finally comes back. He’s desperate and asking if they killed mc yet. Basically, please don’t tell me you killed her. He tells the dukes family that all 3 of the women in the carriage were attacked, including Edith. Edith was trying to stop them from taking the duchess and was basically fighting for her life. And he mentioned that Ediths brother punched her in the face… that Edith was a victim in all of this.

Cliff is really smitten by Liz, despite knowing everything was planned by her. After all of this, Cliff still married Liz. He even writes and signs a contract that he’ll never divorce her or whatever. He regrets this later on, but he can’t do anything since he promised her. This all gets revoked as Liz commits a crime against the royalty and the king annuls their marriage.

Altho I know that Cliff was brainwash but it wassss soooooooo aggravating watching him.. Plus with his villain face mode on... Like he is so not helping me sympathise him being brainwash and controlled by Liz at the moment.. Edith is seriously one of the best MC because her reaction are mild, not over the top (as in super genius MC buff) , her behavior is something I could see myself do if I transmigrated too.. Not that I hate other MC.. Because I enjoy geniuses too.. I just feel relatable with Edith character

Omg sorry just saw this but yea cliff was just a huge dumb asshole. I literally have no sympathy for him even tho he was brainwashed. but after the kidnapping arc, Edith and ml led a much happier life than cliff and liz

A lot of guilt, but not much action. Killeon trying to nurse her back to health. Cliff and Liz don’t really care during that time. Liz was getting crazier and showing her true colors. Cliff accepted her true self which led Liz’s behavior to worsen. Despite Liz doing all that, Edith still tries to help Liz bc she feels bad for her(? Kinda treating Liz like another victim). Duchess and Duke have poor relationship with Liz now.
Killeon and Edith move to another territory and have low contact with the dukedom until Edith has a child.
