The OG assassin was the anti-hero. He was perceived as a villain by the public while actual villains were seen as heroes. The MC is the writer of the novel so he tries to do what he thinks is right. He does kill alone, and he's fortunately not dumb

We don't know the reason he killed the goddess in the first memory for now. And there's something kinda fishy going on as well because the goddess that summoned him is the goddess of love, but he's been cursed with a time-loop even though no god (as far as we know) has the ability to control time. I recall he did mention he went a bit crazy after seeing Tia die so many times, and he tried to revive her, the price being killing everyone in order to keep her alive. And he did mention he tried to kill the goddess to get out of the time-loop as well. However those things happened AFTER the first memory, so after he had been cursed.

I hate how real this is wtf I'm so aggregated by this turn of events because i get it. Parents who just keep taking and taking and you feel so bad that you keep giving. The part where he's talking about how it's finally his chance to tell him to piss off, he's gone through it so many times in his head, and in the end still couldn't go through with it.

Looking back on my comment I was super pissed during the whole Duke that kidnapped her arc, like, how tf do you just show him you have all these powers and cook him the best meal he's ever had so he'll potentially lock you up and force you to work for him.
