Please be a normal happy family cute dad arc, and not something absolutely devastating

After finishing chapter 1, I was wracking my brain trying to figure out wtf was going on, but then it hit me - it doesn't actually matter and I shouldn't even try to get into the mind of the author

Okay so like, every guy he goes to save coincidentally dies, but he makes sure to save and recruit the women successfully...okay. 2 men dead and 2 women (basically) recruited by chapter 7. Hmm.

Nooooo they just had to say he died instantly...I was hoping they'd go back for him after and find him alive and well :')

This was surprisingly not bad. It's refreshing to see an MC who was frozen for 30 years still recognise that his disciples are children in comparison. Just when I thought a flag would be raised he smacked it back down, and thank god for it. The disciples are refreshing even though they're a whine-y/Gary Stu pair, honestly it's such a different vibe from the MC who is their master, even though technically (brain age at least) they would be much closer.

I'm also a sucker for OP MC's so ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Ahh hell nah, first solo Roderick panel since he joined the team and he's being crazy. I hope hes gonna go berserk or something and not just straight up panic and die. If the next chapter is his backstory I'm jumping off a bridge
