For the artist: apparently people were complaining about season one art style.
Also along with that, apparently the writer for the manhwa left as well. That's why it seems like the characters changed personalities during the second season.
I went through multiple reddits and different Korean manhwa websites and that's what I found out. Though, I wasn't able to find out why the writer left. (￣▽￣;)

season 1 art is way better.. i would want to read them doing smex scenes with s1 art.. season 2 art made me cringe the first time i saw it, it feels like diff characters for me

I found out it was because they had problems with their publication company so they had to switch artists, but the previous artist is already working on something new, and they deleted all their arts with this manwha, and that no one mentions this manwha to that artists socials out of respect or something like that. But this could be the real reason too.
At this point, more than likely, both could be reasons why. It wouldn't surprise me either way. (￣∇￣")

Is there a chapter missing between chapters 54 and 55? The start of 55 doesn't make sense with the ending of 54...? (⊙…⊙ )
Bro I literally thought so too, but I just checked the raws and nothings missing. I think its a small time lapse, we see at the end of chapter 54 that his headaches are worsening as he vomits his meds and he says that hes hasn't been taking them for a while now, then ch 55 jumps to later ( maybe a day or 2?) where he is mid seizure from not taking the meds.
