I have to admit it's really entertaining and over the top. Half of me can't help but be addicted to bad drama, the other half is a bit upset at the pretentiousness.
It's just like any other stallion novel with an OP male lead and a beautiful harem (- -)lll
At least the girls are cute and nice to each other.

o<-< Sorry to dump my feelings here but I'm up to ch 130 (paid) and I had no where else to vent but I'm really just upset at Jungsoo (MC). I used to find him endearing, but the entire time he's been very half-assed with everything. Half-assed with his school work, his sports...his relationships. And he keeps running away from all of his problems without ever facing them head on. Even the Amnesia was just him escaping. I know Minyul has a lot of emotional damage, but ultimately Jungsoo is a coward who doesn't ever want to try to put in the effort. For someone who says he loves Minyul, he just decided for the both of them it was easier to cut Minyul out rather than try to help him and work with him.
Yeah, it's going to be a hassle, that's valid, and no one has to deal with that, but I find it hard to believe that you can be so heartbroken over someone when you were the one that one-sidedly didn't want to hear them out, cut things off, moved on, and told them to do the same over a reason you made justifications for all by yourself without letting the other party get a word in... Even the reason Jungsoo broke up with Minyul is so logically flawed.

I'll vent with you. I also purchased chapters on Tappytoons and was looking forward to the continuation, but then season 2 became such a sh/tshow that I dropped it at chapter 105.

I don't really like the overused amnesia trope, but I stuck with the story anyway until the insertion of the whole stingy sunbae/pyramid scheme arc. It was utterly unnecessary and that was really the breaking point for me. Too much time was spent dragging that whole thing out while we still have a huge issues from season 1 still unresolved. Whatever happened with Minyul's creepy brother? MC seeing those obsessive photos of Minyul posted in his room? Was Minyul ever outed for his involvement in the assault on Seulbee? Was this ever brought up again or did I just drop it too soon?
The MC is so damn stupid I can't even with him. I, too, used to find him endearing, but now I can't stand him. MC feels bad for wasting his parents' money and Hyun's time tutoring him, but literally doesn't do a damn thing like work hard in his studies. He's like someone who stands in a rainstorm and wonders why he's dripping wet. Speaking of Hyun, I really dislike him - okay so you've been in love with idiot MC for years, but still demean him, don't show any affection, and then feels butthurt when Minyul finally shows MC some love and understanding? I can't stand that type of character.... really, I can't stand any of the characters... idiot MC, fake ass Seulbee, intolerable fool sunbae, woe-is-me-unrequited-love-Hyun, the 2 NPC's from the cram school who were so forgettable I don't even remember their names (1 silver hair & 1 dark hair?). Minyul was the only redeemable one and had a decently hashed out background that underscored the motivation behind his actions. Even his creepy ass brother was better hashed out than most of the other characters.

(Spoiler) ...Yeah I feel the worst for Minyul who never had someone to be a proper friend to him, or guide him when he's wrong; and he's kind of the only coherent character in this whole shit show. Reverse goes for Hyun who I find way too unbearable and low key creep.

The incident with Seulbee does get brought up again, but it turns out it's not Minyul's fault (entirely). He didn't ask his brother to assault her; he just told him to "do what he does best", and that is, stealing all his girlfriends, because in the past Minyul's brother would steal all of Minyul's lovers. He never wished harm on Seulbee, he just wanted her to stop pestering Jungsoo. Hyun is the one who finds this out by persistently visiting the brother (to make sure Jungsoo isn't dating a psychopath (Minyul)); and ultimately it is just the brother who is a psychopath through and through.
>__>) the fact that Hyun goes out of his way for this reason though is so.....y'know?
Well I think it's fine and dandy if they cleared up their misunderstanding but...
Personally there's such a thing as just being incompatible and for me, it doesn't seem like our Heroine and the Prince are that compatible if they way they interact with each other is just like this.
Same I want her to end up with someone else even if they clear up the misunderstanding....
I just fell like they aren't a good match or something
We spent majority of the time in FL’s POV including her grudges. We didn’t see how their relationship formed in the past life. That’s probably why they’re incompatible for you. Personally, I ship them so ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Doesn't really matter whose perspective the story is told from, you can always form an objective opinion from induction. From what I've read, she's pretty on edge, and her first reactions towards anything tends to curb negatively and she herself seems aware of that. Then there's the prince who loved her deeply but doesn't seem to be able to see through her personality/anxiousness, nor did he do a thorough follow-up after her death. Perhaps circumstances rendered him unable to then, but he could have thought of other methods. In other words, I feel he is a bit sloppy and meekish and doesn't seem like he has the kind of fortitude nor insight to balance out with her ferocity (---or perhaps just the writing itself is sloppy).
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ So it leads me to think if they get back together after this misunderstanding then what... it's not going to be a smooth patch up afterwards there's a lot of underlying layers that aren't gonna be miraculously fixed, and if it is a smooth patch up then this novel is just up that level of writing.
great explanation that totally hits on why i dont care for them together. Couldnt have said it better myself
Unfortunately, the level of writing for this story isn’t as in depth as you seem to view it. If you already know the whole story of the novel, you know how it ends. Even if you think it’s not gonna end well for them, romance novels like this will always end with “they live happily ever after”.
I don't know the ending, and in general I wouldn't want to pick up a book with the preemptive thought that it's probably going to be shallow. That's no fun.
So, I wrote my response to you from a general understanding of interpersonal relationship to explain why I thought they're not compatible---I'm not necessarily drawing any form of depth from it. Just that, IF the story's writing was better (and I hope), it would've treaded more carefully. But if you've already read it, and it is simply just that level of basic cheese, then I guess it is what it is.
Anyway, thanks for the conversation. Peace out.
