Personally I think both sides need to communicate to each other, although it is not an easy thing to do. Hoon just wants to know why a guy he cares for and thinks of as a dear friend is ghosting him with literally no reason told to him. And Bawoo is struggling with his fear and hurt of having his confession misinterpreted and how his crush keeps indelicately invading his space when he's feeling emotionally conflicted and asked him to stop.
In Hoon's perspective he literally has no idea what is going on and yet he is being avoided, and when he asked why, he isnt given an answer and is spurned away. Like Ouch. Like all guy wants is to know why he is being avoided and supposedly "hated" on.
Bawoo on the other hand is hurt and angry by how Goon didnt take his confession seriously (he is the solemn and serious type so this affects him even more) and just wants some space but he keeps getting his space invaded by the guy he wants to avoid. Which is his right, he deserved his own space.
I just think they should talk things out (hard as that may be) cuz Hoon at least deserves to know why his friend is ghosting him. And Bawoo will get to know his feelings are being taken seriously and not as a joke.
