Can someone explain the plot??? Was Tod the wolf?? What happened at the end did Tod kill those sheep and kill himself too or did he ran away ... Poor Dennis :(( didn't deserve to die
The plot is essentially a really big metaphor. Y'know like, wolf in sheep's clothing or being hunted by a wolf.
Tod in this case, is the wolf. (The coyote we saw is Tod) Hunting down Dennis by making him fall in love with him. Them having sex is the hunting, which is why they show the deer being killed (which is representing Dennis).
Tod makes Dennis trust him, in order to reach his goal. The sheep (which also represent Dennis in many ways).
In the end it's hard to really tell if Tod actually cared about him romantically but Dennis ended up killing himself in order to be with him.
The plot is Dennis being tested by God. His story parallels the one with Even and the garden of Eden.
The test is choice between obedience to God or self willed desire.
