god i cant even continue reading this cause the happier it gets that means fucked up shit will happen at fast rate. like i do love conflicts BUT when the whole conflict is like this... it's too much and i'd rather not put myself through that again (looking at you, solo for two ╥﹏╥)
not even bother to complete this one cause i'd rather live happily.
disclaimer: I REALLY REALLY LIKE THE MANHWA. IT'S A GOOD READ THAT I BINGED IN ONE DAY.
but... is that it? the art is ETHREAL but like, i expected so many plots but it just ended up not happening (i know im not the author and i have no say in this).
i feel like we really need a side stories where like they tell atleast to Chan-Il that they're dating. I know they dont owe that to anyone but I just expected much more than this not gonna lie
RIGHT?? i swear to god this manhwa wad hyped so much so i expected A GOOD resolution near its ending. By ch 120 there were so many conflict that needs to be addressed and solved, but somehow the story went full circle and just another conflict.
i guess it's because im so used to read an antagonist (abuser in this case) get punished for stuff they did. but LITC went on a different route and present a more "realistic" route... which i find is so hard to accept because the amount of abuse and trauma both MC had to endure.
like, oh my god the author really took you to the peak of conflict, misunderstanding, miscommunication and then SHATTER you down by not resolving those conflicts... it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
i guess LITC was hyped because of its pretty art which i wont deny is like GOOOD as hell, but other than that... i think more underrated manhwa deserves the same hype this manhwa has gotten.
YES 100% Everything you said! I thought I was understanding something wrong, I’m glad I can find someone who thinks the same I let this one marinate because I just knew it would be a masterpiece, but while the art is one, i do feel like the writing could be better. It felt like we were skipping through some conflicts with the way some issues were “resolved” or rather brushed over. Maybe it just hits different if I’d been reading this for three years, because I read this in one sitting too TvT Right after reading LITC, I honestly went back to manhwas i’ve read before that gives more satisfaction just to get my mind off it LOLOL
im sure my opinion is just like everybody else and to make it simple. this manhwa could've been better.
1. why the fuck Mettel was only shown like, 4 expression in total???
2. the rape scene was sooo... unnecessary?? Louis was crying and Mettel knew he was pregnant, WHY DID HE KEEP ON GOING??
3. the plot is interesting at the beginning but then it sucks ass
4. what the fuck is the baby for? I KNOW the FETUS plays a significant part of the story, but the BABY literally forgotten after he was born. Why not make the side story more "family-focused"??
5. this is my personal ick but, do you guys find to be imprisoned without notice okay? why was louis SO OKAY to be imprisoned against his will??? AND WHY IS NO ONE SAYING ANYTHING??
absolute fucking cinema, this is like most gut-wrenching manhwa i've read ever since llewelyn, and this is a compliment. i feel sasya's pain, longing, and anger throughout the serie. but also i understand where karel was coming from, and it's upsetting me that i cant do anything about it... i love you sasya and karel, you guys held a special place in my heart
i'll rate you 20/5
sure, i can agree to your opinion to some extent, the beggining wasnt quite strong, at first I was really tempted to drop it but decided to give it a chance because of the pretty art style. Around Ch. 20, i think, it's slowly becoming more and more "gut-wrenching" as the plot unveils.
I kid you not this is my 2nd time crying to an angst and I've quite literally read many angst in both comic and writing.
wdym by writing style? like how the characters speak?
personally after reading the story it didn’t seem cliché. lots of monte cristo vibes, but it’s still very different
i searched up what melodrama is and skimmed through the first ten chapters lol not sure how melodramatic this is to be called that. characterization becomes even more crucial as the story progresses
the whole love at first site aspect is what i mean by melodrama and that seems like a main drive and motivation here which i find annoying.
i also dont like the whole poor beautiful bottom needs help and hyper masculine top comes to the rescue trope.
and outside of their assigned roles do these characters even have personality?
yeah it is first at love sight but um let’s just say this love is largely questioned throughout the story due to things that happened in the plot beyond just the first 10 chapters.
personally i find that yes they have more personality than just their respective tropes. the tropes are very superficial, but tropes are tropes
was searching for this comment because im 41 chapters in and still struggling to find the appeal. everything feels one dimensional and undeveloped... the author tried to give the characters depth and personality but it all feels flat. was looking forward to the angst as this was heavily recommended but im feeling nothing

you really cant just waste that godly art on a shit plot like this. the beginning was interesting af and the author shouldve done proper world-building. cause why tf is the word esper thrown without any explanation??
also, the build up is so bad, like i dont feel anything at all regarding character's emotion, just flat. this is like, porn with plot but the plot is only there to support the porn (in a bad way kind of thing).
i'd love to see this remake but with a REAL plot this time Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
