this is actually shitty but good because it's fucked up. if you think about it, this is human nature. you get jealous of people that could take life "easily" and prefer to be alone, and you, on the other hand, is pressured by society, they expect you to be something that you don't want to be. because of that, you have to achieve something (a.k.a. be a pleaser) just for them to be happy and for you to feel like "you're belong." the person you're jealous with is actually the same, a people pleaser, and both of you find "home" being "together."

the elements of manipulation is what perk my interest, but oh boy, reading it till the end disappoint me. both have flaws, that makes the story good. but escaping and dealing with the situation so easily (especially about being SA'd, blackmailed, and beat up) as if it's a usual thing is sad considering this happens in real life but way worse for the victim.
