They don't draw them for censorship for legal reasons

Many share the sentiment. It's just not well paced, and the ending of the "past" stuff isn't even near, not many people feel connected to this version of the characters, feels like a waste of time, and way too much detail. In my opinion, this past life is not AT ALL Interesting. We could have had 5 chapters of past stuff and call it a day.

Gosh, we still have evil brother beginnings arch, and just then Potentially back to present arch. The author started the story and halfway decided they liked the blue dude more than Ian. Fck this series.

The flashback itself is pretty good. People's pet peeve is that the flashack isn't its own spin-off and instead taking the main story chapter

I don't think the flashback is good, at the very least, not my taste. I think it would have been more appropriate to begin with that and evolve into the present stuff, in such case I would have not even bothered.

My hunch is some of her mother’s works are heavily influenced by her. That or father dearest doesn't want his daughter making money behind his back + inferiority complex. “I want her blood line to end with her” type crap. Though I might be totally wrong, so who knows?

I think it has more to do with the fact it might trigger her memories back and unveil some conspiracy like her mothers murder.

Yeah that too but i thought it was so obvious I forgot to mention it. The other theory I thought of goes mc’s mom intensely loathes the husband keeping her on a leash so they made an agreement around the kid. She might’ve thought she had her freedom after mentoring her daughter to the point where she’d be successful enough for the father to leave her alone but he had no plans of doing so. Sick and tired of everything, she tells her daughter a really big secret (wed lock?) and kills herself on the spot. In her revenge ruining herself and her daughter maybe trying to protect her in sum twisted way giving him an eat shit anniversary! As you can see I love thinking some bullshit up!!!

my theory is that the FL is the one who created the art pieces that the people like and the art piece that got criticized by the people are the one made by the mother. the mother probably claimed all the daughter's painting as her own and the father knew all of this but did not do anything cause he's obsessed with his wife. the mother killed herself cause the time she tried to imitate her daughter's painting, she can't do it cause her ass isn't that good. she probably have inferiority complex towards her child cause who the fuck would tie their daughter so that they could watch how their mother would die and not be able to do anything. screams like she wanted the daughter to be traumatized for life cause she can't accept not being the 'gifted' one and blamed it on her daughter.

about the dad, he probably don't want the daughter to draw anymore cause he don't want her wife's mess to be revealed cause yknow the daughter is the talented one not the wife. he probably turned a blind eye to what's happening between the mother and daughter
