I swear this chapter was a huge turnover, and I'm not saying this easily, from the start of the chapter the way JJK realized that how he only cared about himself but never about Dan and how he did all those things to Dan and used him over and over selfishly only for his needs. that itself was a big emotion for someone like JJK. (because he only cared about himself there was no one in his life who actually helped him until Dan came. Dan helped him in the worst conditions possible even if he was treated as shit. he not only took the blame on himself but he also tried to cut his ties off so that it doesn't effect JJK any futher in his future) The part where JJK actually thought if it's too late? and how he keeps having nightmares about Dan crying and drowning himself haunts him so much, shows how much scared he is to lose Dan from his life. On the other hand when Dan actually showed up , and JJK asked why Dan came when he didn't ask for help and instantly regretted his words I swear I need him to regret every single time he talks to Dan and apologize over and over for his shitty behaviour. The context where Dan said Yes JJK didn't ask for help but it's lonely when you're sick and no one is there to take care of them. it broke me so hard Dan being the kindest person ever, even if his situation is much worse he still thought about JJK and came to help him. Last but not least the last Panels where JJK said After all the shit he put him through Dan still came to help him (the realisation hit him so hard because no matter what happened, Dan won him over with his kind heart and never once blamed JJK for anything) and that made him realise it's his Undisputed Defeat.
