The MC’s hair is short on the new cover. Season two is going to be so dark. Heeryang is still one of my favorite MLs. Hope the author doesn’t push his character too far. The end of season one was already a lot.
I haven’t started season one yet, but I just have to say that I hope they lighten the vibe in the manhwa because he’s basically in an abusive relationship in the novel. I feel so bad for the MC. He may be a bonehead, but he doesn’t deserve the treatment he’s getting from the ML.

The ML is just… verbally abusive. After finding out about the baby, he tells him that he won’t let the MC have the baby, and forces him to go back to the city and stay at ML’s apartment. From that point on, the ML is pretty much cold to the MC and speaks harshly to him constantly because he’s sexually frustrated, but too prideful to admit his feelings. The MC spends the rest of the novel with his head down, flinching and apologizing during every scene with the ML. He goes from having a goofy, happy-go-lucky personality to acting like an abuse victim/abused puppy. The only time the MC is slightly happy is when he’s eating or the very few times the ML forces himself to be gentle with him. The tone doesn’t change until like two chapters before the end when the ML finally admits his feelings and fucks the MC again.
Because of the manhwa panels I’ve seen, I just expected the novel to be very goofy and lighthearted, but it doesn’t read that way, IMO. Yes, the MC still has his quirky personality, but the overall tone isn’t similar to the manhwa. It reads more serious with a few comedic moments sprinkled in throughout (but mainly in the beginning and end chapters). That’s why I said, I hope they lighten up the vibe, but I think they will.

After the MC tells the ML he’s pregnant, the ML is secretly happy because he thinks that it will force the MC to be by his side. He’d been slowly losing his mind since having sex with the MC, then the MC disappeared, and his brother kind of led the ML to believe the MC was pregnant by a woman, which made him go even crazier. He’d finally calmed down some with the baby news, but the MC grabbed the consent form for him to sign, which gave custody to MC and let’s ML off the hook for all things concerning the baby. The MC is under the impression that the ML wants absolutely nothing to do with children and marriage, especially with him, so… Anyway, this pisses the ML off, and he tells him that he’d never give up parental rights or custody, and that he’ll raise it himself. The MC is super sad and asks what he needs to do raise the baby, but the ML refuses to tell him, so for practically the rest of the novel, the MC is stuck in the ML’s apartment trying to figure out what he needs to do to get custody. The ML wants the MC to suggest raising the kid together as a couple, but the MC would never do that considering their relationship and how he thinks the ML feels about him. The ML refuses to suggest it because he’s too prideful and he believes that it’s the MC who likes him, not the other way around.
Dear god that really put to waste the whole fun vibe of the manhwa so far, I thought this would already be the kick he needs to realize he’s the one that likes mc and confess and properly date but instead he pulls all that shit? ToT especially when he knows Mc likes him, isn’t it weird to him that mc suggests having the baby himself and staying away from him?
