To the ones who read the novel,am i the only one who pities matthias.I mean what he did was indeed cruel,but poor guy just didn't know how to love the correct way or love at all,because of which leyla even though she liked him somewhere,lied to herself,and so to all the readers,bcs she didn't want false hope.
But when matthias finally decided to let her go even though it was painful for him,it shows he finally learned to love.Love where you prioritize your person's happiness more than yours.And leyla was the reason for that,the one who taught him love.
And now that he is ready to love,why won't leyla accept him when she liked him too all along but lied to herself,bcs of obvious pride of not wanting to be a mistress.Even the gravest sinners get a second chance from God.Leyla forgave him,and so the readers should too.
They don't try to understand depth,what the writer tried to express ╥﹏╥ ,and judge it on a surface level.Not everything has to start perfect,how it ends is what matters.Yes it started dark with all the obsession and abuse,but he ultimately learned to love amd care,and the journey to that,how love can bring such positive changes even to a man as cruel and cold as matthias,is what is shown to us.And leyla didn't hate matthias as much as she lied to herself and to us,only getting honest in the end.Like kyle said if she doesn't want something truly no one can ever force her,that's the type of woman she is.She forgave him in the end,gave him a second chance,even god gives a second chance.So who are we really to hate him forever.

I never felt that way. He deserves to be maimed lol he's just handsome and rich but he's despicable. Not everybody who doesn't know how to love correctly delusionally wrecks other people's lives just because they desire them. He is mentally capable and sound why would he do something so vile? Yeah you're right.Now that i think about it,he is despicable!! what can you expect of these foolish nobles.I mean,if leyla hadn't run away,he would've kept her as a mistress for his own pleasure,disregarding leyla's feelings,her pride and self respect.It took leyla's disappearing from his life for that fool to realise what Love is.At the end he let her go.But look at the plot twist writer brought,she loved him all this while.Just that she wanted to be a wife and not a mistress,so she kept denying her feelings.Ha haa,Destiny brought them together.But yeah,mathias was a fool,anyone would hate him,even if he's handsome so what.No women with dignity will want to be a mistress.
Kyle's mother is the sole villain of his life why he couldn't get his happiness after all the effort he made to finally convince Leyla.Poor Kyle.But what's not meant to be will just never be.
