I don't think Modri is Polaris, I think all of Undertaker's bizarre dolls workers say similar things. Modri and Polaris were probably butlers or something in their lives....

I agree. I think he's more like the aloof big brother that turns into a goofball around his little brother, and wants to spoil him but also roast the crap out of him Ether way, it's clearly platonic. I love it. In one of the author's notes someone asked if there would be another couple, and author said NO. They even said they planned to have side story with Taegu and the red-haired (motorcycle) friend from the beginning, but scrapped it (thank god, it would've been weirddd.)
