i’m actually still a sucker for charjin (charin x jin if that wasn’t obvious) and because tehir looks so much like charin i find jin x tehir more visually appealing… though i would want them to work together genuinely and not have something that seems reboundish. okay fine i admit i probably would still fuck with that too because it would mean charin is still relevant and impactful to jin and his choices and i just can’t let them go…

anyway i think jin and garon could make a fun pair but i can’t see them getting far romantically just yet. but i am staying tuned for the future seasons. i reread this shit over and over because i just adore charjin lol but given what i’ve seen on author’s socials and my expertise honed from yaoimaxxing, unless kimoto just gets absolutely fucked over and dies alone, i predict the ending pairs will likely be garon x jin and tehir x kimoto. since the story is about all four of them, and if every person pairs up, this is literally the only way i see it happening realistically speaking with my own hopes out of the way.

buuuutttt if things happen to go my way(charin revives, remembers jin, falls in love all over again, they find each other and live happily ever after) then i guess garon will never get to breed genetically superior babies, tehir will likely be miserable and hateful for the rest of his life or maybe get over whatever happened with jin, and kimoto could also either be miserable because of unrequited love or he could get over tehir and live life. honestly in my ideal ending everyone could be miserable for all i care as long as i get charjin back and that snake bitch dies. oh and i hope aa-el and rim are doing well no matter what happens. i love them lots and hope we see more of them!

ahem… sorry for getting carried away i just really love this manhwa and, more specifically, charjin.

I feel you in your adoration for charjin. I loved them as characters, loved their story and loved the complicated feelings they haboured for eachother. Out of any other romantic coupling I would definitely want more of and for them. A problem I find with myself as well is if Jin fell in love with someone else, would I care as much or even more for that romance like I did with Charjin. I wonder than what the author would do because Charin was definitely important to Jin that I'm curious if it will affect his dynamic/story with his future lover. That's why I initially thought it would be Jin x Tehir because I thought that with Tehir and Charin looking similar, the narrative is connecting them in some way, but I don't know if it's just my wishful Charjin heart talking.

I honestly can't get behind seeing a romance come out from Jin x Garon. But like you said I think releastically through common yaoi nature, with the kinky dick and crack dynamic (this is not what you said I'm just agreeing with the realistic part so sorry if it seems I'm quoting your words in bad faith) I think they might end up being something. I'm not fond of it but I leave it as it is because right now, I'm honestly rooting for Tehir x Kimoto. I find Kimoto a very compelling character because of his unrequited love and the author's character description of him having parasites in his neck that he doesn't know when they'll begin their metamorphosis. Therefore I want him to succeed in his pinning cause he might die from those parasites! And it also looks like he's really trying his best for his unrequitted love (I think).

And I love your third paragraph, it's so mood. Everyone else can be miserable as long as Charjin can happen lololol. I like the way you think . Thanks for sharing your thoughts and who your shipping. I loved hearing all about it.

waah thanks for actually reading it! glad to see you and nearly everyone else is still as stuck on charin/charjin as i am lol they still have not left my mind. but i am open to new things and to see how kimoto and tehir’s stories go. garon is fun but im gonna need some more story on him if author wants me to think he’s worthy of jin.

Yeah fr, poor Damen but poor Laurent as well when you understand why he did it.

I'll start off with some warnings, it has themes of p3dophilia and slavery but don't worry it doesn't glorify or romanticize it. The story highlights and condemns the mistreatment and exploitiveness of them (that happens in this fantasy setting) both through MC and ML experiencing it first hand and through others.

The appeal for me is that they are enemies and there's a lot of reasons why they should hate eachother, yet they keep ticking eachother's boxes of why they should be attracted to one another and should have the other (in their bed). It's a slowburn and there's not that much getting down and dirty scenes but the enemies to lovers development that's kind of like a forbidden love in each of their perspective just makes my heart go goop goop while my stomach does flips.

I'm not sure if you'll find it worth it so I'll just leave you with my verdict above as well as some notes on the series:
- The writing style maybe too different and hard to follow
- Heavy and Triggering themes and scenes
- Slow burn, no romance in first book just some development but might need a second through the whole series to catch on
- Cool moments of MC popping off with some of ML as well
- handsome cunning ML
- strapping hot tough MC
- Politics and War but in a medieval setting

I'd say it's worth it if you want an Enemies to Lovers between two Princes of enemy territories who should hate eachother but are just eachother's type. And if you can handle the heavy themes and slow burn that makes book 1 have no romance but very triggering. I'm not very reliable as I might forget somethings that would probably stick out to others if they read it for the first time, positive or negative but I hope I gave an alright answer.

Nah for real, cause tell me why every character in those books is wether a child ist or a child victim

I think Garon may be in for a very rude awakening. This is guy or alien? I don’t know what to call him but he throws a tantrum for not being the one to fully finish a monster…..I am curious on his backstory though.

I'm scared of what that clear apprehension on the direction of the manhwa entails. And I just can't seem to control my expectations and anticipation for season 2, I feel like running around the entire earth after hearing it's release schedule

Yeah the way he acts leads to very interesting theories on his background and how it affects how he is now. I honestly find him really funny but I don't want to be too fond of him rn. Especially because of his ideals for genetic integrity and power and his behavior to treat others shitty because of those ideals.

He is funny indeed and when I look at him I think about Jin and how he was cast out for going against these ideals while they were still young. He couldn’t be controlled unlike the others.

I wish Jin could regain some of that mindset, I guess with the ending of season 1 with Charin's words he could be getting a step closer to not being utterly and completely controlled by someone. I wonder then how he'd take on Charin's words, would he become more assertive, dominant, independent or something short of those. Would he call out abuse/manipulation that he wouldn't before like in season 1 with Charin. Would he be more wise on who's leadership he follows or how he pursues love? I'm sure he will do something close to all these (maybe some not) but I don't know what it'll look like.

I think this is where Tehir may come in although they’ve had very little interactions. Tehir will be able to provide him ( hopefully) with the kind of environment that will allow him to regain some of his old self + implement Charin’s last words to him. He’s slowly regaining his memories which will allow us to find out more about his relationship with Tehir and the other classmates.
Although it also seems like most of his interactions will be with Garon as he’s so set procreating with Jin. Who knows maybe they’ll be able to develop some sort of friendship.

I can definitely see Tehir doing something that will tap into/revive Jin's past self. He seems to have a fixation on who and what Jin was/did in the past, which is accompanied with negativity. Chapter 1, where Tehir brings up being bullied by Jin in kindergarten and Chapter 9 where Kimoto reprimands Tehir for thinking Jin is the same as he was in the past, helps allude to the idea that Tehir seems to be the only one who can't let go of the old Jin. The others (Kimoto, Garon, Aeel and Rim) seem like they don't care to the same extent. So he might be the one to do things that'll cause Jin to think or be like his old self. Question is, Would Tehir's interjection into his life because of a negative history between them be for the better or for the worst?

Garon's need to do that with Jin is exasperating but funny. It'll probably bring about a crack dynamic. Although it might take a while for me to come around and be fond of it. I think it'll help though if Garon loses those ideas all together (just subjective). I really like your thoughts though, it's given me food for more thoughts towards this manhwa.
