I mean the investigation getting thrown to the wayside plot wise is super sus. Either ML has been obsessed with MC since before the friends death...that would explain why he just happened to constantly be around him before the friend died i mean thats WIERD. or hes a serial killer obsessed with offing 29 year Olds who fixated on him bc he knew too much.. or... he is the friend... i’m betting my money on the serial killer one esp bcuz in the beginning he seemed suspicious that MC knew smth abt his friend’s death and how it correlated with him so that was probably his intention from the start. but it now seems like he might be slightly gaining feelings for MC and that’s why he’s trying to ignore that he’s 29 soon, hence the “let’s pretend you’re 30” part. but also like wtf is it with 29 year olds and him???

i think in the book they said she did. not only me but some other people have the same feeling that he killed her like he killed MC’s friend who was also 29. it’s just speculation though because they haven’t revealed much about anything so far, only a part of ML and the friend’s relationship from MC’s pov.
Guess 30s is just too old for him. Something gotta happen soon though because the sex has caused the relationship to completely flat line at least for me
