Yeah it's not a question of label.
For me it be that it make me angry when people portray sexual orientation as something blurry like that.
It's not. Your sexual orientation is whatever genitals turn you on. If it was possible for this orientation to change because of love then we asexual wouldn't exist. And that would be great.

Yes it's possible to fall in love with someone regardless of your sexual orientation. But falling in love with them won't make their genitals turn you on. Being in love don't make you want to do it with them magically. It doesn't work this way.

F*** I really hate it that people are so ignorant about sexuality.

I get what you mean; on the other hand, I think it's up to each person to decide since we're all different. I think than rather than a matter of ignorance it's a matter of realization: after exploring people may either like it or not.

And I want to add this: all those yaois out there about straight guys who end up falling in love with a man, and this manhwa here about a gay guy falling in love with a girl, I don't think authors nor fans aim to outline how sexuality works, they probably just want to sell/have fun out of morbo.

Don't think I'm trying to convince you of anything, I respect your position and I just wanted to share mine too.

Well you don't need to convince me, because I mostly agree with you already.
It's good/okay to explore to know yourself better, learn what work for you, learn how yourself work.
What I don't agree with is this "Oh I'm not gay/whatever. I just love you !" stuff, like being gay is wrong or something. Same thing as ignoring that bisexuality do exist, like it's something you shouldn't be.

And I know that most authors and fans mean well and just want to have fun. And it's fine. But it make me feel uncomfortable nonetheless.

But thanks for sharing your position. It's easy to get caught up in your own negative feelings, so it's always nice to hear the point of view of someone more positive I think.

I hear you and I agree, maybe we're referring a little to the fact that love tends to be "somewhat" overrated? Not that it's not important or not that it can't change lives but... falling in love with (or just loving) someone doesn't actually mean that you should allow your life to change completely just for that effort.

please dont take coming out to your family so lightly, especially in asian cultures where we are raised from the get go about filial piety. it's not a matter of having financial support its about the possibility of losing a huge support system in your life.
