Just the way the mc is treated shows how badly this manga disrespects women. It's revealed that the MC still fucking cares deeply for him, and she even worries if he's injured. Like no, you're supposed to go, "HA! Fuck you, you old pedo bitch I hope you fucking suffer!" But noooooo...
And then she goes to admire him for being "strong and domineering"... Um no, those aren't traits to be admired, especially in an abusive asshole like him.
She keeps asking him if he's okay and if he's not injured. I'm just like, "bish wtfff??? This guy locked you up and whipped you in your past life, and you're fucking caring about his wellbeing?? Are you a masochist?!!" Like, no, she should be yelling at him to get off her.

I saw this coming from a long ago and that’s why I instantly dropped this manga, like slightly domineering or protective is one thing and it might even be hot if it was portrayed right. But this is full on violence, this is fucking torture what he did to her, if I was reborn I would turn into a fucking assassin just so I could kill him for what he did. I hate this type of plot development , it’s extremely degrading to women and makes them to only want handsome , powerful men. Any young, naive mind could pick up a story like this and think this is alright! Which it isn’t! I feel like stories that have this kind of ending is what warps the view of both men and women.
Yeah agree with that; I think it has to do with culture too. Things like yaoi have an excuse because well it's fiction and it's fetishization like lots of mature comics/manga. This is just bad writing no matter how fictional it is. Like she might get a good ending as the novel goes on but it's not worth the reader's time when they have to endure, I'm not exaggerating, HUNDREDS of chapters worth of rape, abuse, and general mistreatment just for the drama; I'll tell you she does escape and gets cocky again but even the side characters call her dumb/stupid because she just gets so cocky so quickly but is easily taken down.
Yeah, like if your going to make a character strong let her stay strong till the end!

I actually really liked the initial plot of coming back for revenge but they went a couple steps too far when he started raping and torturing her.
