After everything that the uke went through all I could think is that the he was being burdened by the guilt for not stopping his brother before it all became worse plus the confession of him telling "what really happened" between him and hikaru to his mother. Her death just added to his trauma and maybe he felt sorry for hikaru for what he did even though he knows hikaru is the one to blame for everything, thus he unconsiously decided to be with the ill-headed seme 'cause he knows there's no way he will recover from his dark past—
