This is a shoujo manga, since basically, it's published on a shoujo magazine. That can only change If they change publishing magazine. For me, the rest are tags to help with searching on the site.
I've seen shounen-ai tag applied to other shoujo manga that tackle LGBTQ issues or that have a main character that faces these issues (although it's not a correct classification). That said, I also think gender bender tag is a little disrespectful, because we tend to associate it with characters that dress/magically transform into the opposite bender, and MC is a trans woman.Yet it's an umbrella genre. Since in a way it also relates to other forms of gender expression, or disruption of gender categories in stories, it could also be classified this way. Of course, no one has to accept It. These tags are the same as mangaupdates site, and they take into consideration trans MC so... ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

*Mild spoilers ahead*
I got up-to-date with the manga. Been long adjourning reading it, but since a friend told me the anime was OK, I decided to check the original material first. I'm sad I have to agree with many people that say it's pretty bland. I don't like the rape trope, but I could skip the whole beginning just like I did with Hidoku Shinaide. I was hoping it would get better, but even the paparazzi trouble volume didn't get me hyped. I don't hate it, it's just that it grows on clichés, and tho I like some of the characters, it took me a while to believe the MCs liked each other. It brings memories of those early 00s BL tropes, the familiarity must be the cause of part of its popularity. Giving it a lighter feeling doesn't help either, because the glosses over sources of what could be actual deep drama (rape, jealousy, Takato's bad habit of drinking his memory away). It's cute and all, but not enough to be a snack in-between deeper manga, since I feel like I should relate to the characters, but I don't. I got annoyed at some attitudes most of the times, such as when Takato was supposedly raped by other guy and was scared shitless by that, and Junta's attitude was overly aggressive, even telling him lines along "men will want to sleep with you because you make that face". The short story about how Chunta fell for Takato was by far a better beginning for the manga, and pretty enjoyable, but it took like 3 volumes to get to it, and it was randomly thrown there. Now, it has come to a point where I find the plot alright and the characters fairly enjoyable, at least. I understand the appeal of the story, and I get that it must be really popular in Japan so it turned into anime, but I wonder sometimes if people couldn't choose better stories to adapt (I also don't enjoy Yarichin, so people can hate me all you want). If you disagree, please, tell me what you find interesting about this story. I might warm up to it a bit eventually, but as for first impressions, it's a slight "blergh".
'Healthy' is my new favorite yaoi tag.
Also, Yuu's hair is stunning. (▰˘◡˘▰)✧
