I’m a sucker for a good action romance and this one did not disappoint! Sure there were parts of the plot that could’ve gone into greater detail but the story itself remains amazing. I was sobbing when it started showing that Yiseon would follow through with his plans and even more so when Hyeon realized what was happening. Despite that, I felt satisfied when Hyeon broke at the thought of losing Yiseon, especially since he only went about manipulating him the whole time. As much as I love kooky MLs, Yiseon deserved more than that. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Yiseon was actually aware of Hyeon’s less-than-nice intentions, rather than him being oblivious and blindly in love with Hyeon.

I was invested at first but seeing how that’s the end, now I’m just left like “really?”. It’s pretty disappointing because there were plenty of plot points that didn’t get fleshed out nor finished. The crown prince was completely forgotten as a character as if he wasn’t also a rival. Jerry’s massive amount of mana wasn’t explained and neither was the fortune teller who snagged the broach. There was no actual antagonist/villain other than the Anderson’s and even that got solved too easily and fast. Even Ilay’s dangerous side was completely dropped and he just turned into this shelled out puppy-like character. Like are we forgetting that even though the story is different than the guide book, he was plenty dangerous and possessive (breaking the wrist of the guy who challenged Jerry). I’m not one for series that drag on and on for episodes hit in this case, I could’ve seen 30 more episodes to properly flesh out the ending and iron out the plot holes.
I honestly did not expect to love this as much as I do now. I started reading because I’m a sucker for villainess isekai manhwas but even then I acknowledge that none have necessarily stood out to me. But here I am being proved wrong. I could not stop reading, I was so invested. I love all the characters so much and I’m so glad they all got the happy endings that they all deserved. I shed tears several times but seeing Luca smile so brightly really did me in. This has easily shot to the top ranks of my fav manhwas
