I'm so glad his endgame is Daejun; always love the 'I will always be able to recognize and love you in whatever form you're in' trope
Ohhh God I need more of this please!!!
I am starting to hate the "I am falling in love with this person that I don't really know in a body of a person that I hated in the past"...maybe not hate but disliked.
I love how he knew something was wrong from the beginning, and recognized him, I have seen this happen two times; in here and with a brother (no love interest knowing).
I only rmb two works that have this trope, one is mdzs and the other one is I have to be a great villain. But in both works, the og body and the new body have similar appearance.
Yeah, I agree! If the ml is one of his bandmates, I'd be disappointed. Because the one they actually love is the real sihyeon, and not Hajin. Besides, the fact that they only pampered 'sihyeon' now is kinda sad to me, since sihyeon is no longer with them. So it feels like they do that to a replacement, even though they don't have any idea about Hajin occupying the body. I also don't want the ML to be yun isu bcs even though he showed interest in Hajin, the way he treated Sihyeon irks me. And I don't think Hajin is comfortable with him.
Meanwhile, Daejun has always given him comfort even by staying by his side to the point that he's willing to die by his hands. I don't think no one can top their bond/relationship
It's actually funny that for the first time, we are getting the person who would be the second ML in another manga as the main ML. Because to me, he is doing things that the second ML would normally do rather than the main one.
I feel that the actor is treating him more like an interesting toy than a person. Since he didn't remember him (because he is someone else), and Sihyeon didn't go crazy over him, he finds him interesting now...ironically it's the same for the real Sihyeon, because he was originally in love with someone else and he wasn't really interested in the actor. It's just that Hajin is colder and the real Sihyeon was more fragile.
Yeah, the bandmates are good now that he is someone else, but it's surprising because usually the author would pick one of them... and at the beginning it seemed that way. If one of them had recognized that he is in any way different, it would have been better.
You're absolutely right! Others author might do that, or make yun isu the ml and the black-haired guy from his group the second ml. Honesty, new readers wouldn't expect Daejun to be ml with the lack of his appearance at the beginning. I still rmb how some people said Hajin wasn't going to end up with anyone and got a bit disappointed because I like Daejun from the start.
Oh btw, if you like this trope, you might want to check out regas and approximal guide
Oohhhoho, this is great. I added both to my list now, thank you so much!!!! I saw that Regas is by the same.e author as Payback (one of my faves)
I remember that I read a spoiler, and seriously I was so glad, because he didn't even think "ohh I am falling in love with Sihyeon", it was more like "Damn that's the man that I love, and he is alive, let's support him". Plus, it's a relief that he is not an aggressive as$ to his partner.
And the fact that he recognized him through the smallest habits, such as they way Hajin held his cig, and the vibe Hajin was giving is the cherry on top. The man is so in love. And has been for years at that.
Yeah!! I love payback too, the main characters are sooo interesting, and the plot keeps drawing me in. Regas is good too; I've seen people complaining the mc got twinkified (he got reincarnated in a new body), but I think it's still plot relevant. I love both of his appearances tho, so it doesn't matter to me
Yes, I am so in love with this relationship. You have no idea, I think it's one of my favorites in relationships, but it doesn't come out as much until the 100th chapter.
I love how they describe the psychology of Payback, it's really good. If he changes to twink or not is not is not my driving factor, it's more of what the MC and ML have as a relationship, so it's all good.

...I mean if you have a brother like Grayson, it's no wonder you grew up twisted
