It also looks like our MC will become friends with the blonde protagonist! I’ve read so many stories where the MC reincarnates as the villain and the original “protagonist” is actually an evil scheming woman, and while I’ve liked quite a few stories with that plot line I’m also a huge fan of woman supporting woman and growing strong female friendships, so hopefully this story is one where they don’t hate each other!
You know what, I actually feel a bit sorry for Rashta at times. Especially reading her POV in the novel and understanding her fears and where she has come from. I could really see myself sympathising with her and even wanting her to have her own happy ending … but then she turns around and behaves like an absolute snake. If she had just kept her f**king mouth shut, stayed quietly in her own lane, and not caused so much drama for her own gain, I’d probably like her.
Every time I start feeling sympathetic to her she’ll do something so hateful that I remember who she is and why I hate her.

l i realized reading the novel, that the emperor is the biggest one at fault here. He wanted his cake and ate it too. --- although in the beginning it seemed like Rashta genuinely wanted to be like sisters with navier, i think the little birds chirping in her ear slowly corrupted her into this. But i hope she at least gets a happy ending with her children and without the emperor in the mix.
I agree 100%! The emperor caused or elevated all tension between the two by continuously degrading the empress in front of Rashta and other people. If he just set ridged boundaries in the first place I believe that most of the drama wouldn’t have happened (although, considering the empress upgrade, I guess it’s a good thing he was such a dick).
Oh my, i feel like Shu is more pitiful than Rashta. He made a lot of dumb mistakes but tried his best to fix his own mess. Rashta is just beyond help.

Haha, i feel like he has made good progress in the recent novel updates unlike Rashta who might have just made her very last mistake.
I found this manhwa a couple of days ago and binged it in one sitting, then went and read the novel. The novel was just past the divorce scene and was starting to get to the good bits.
Now this has been updated I’m conflicted, I’m grateful that this has been updated because I absolutely adore both the story and art, however, I now have to reread all the annoying Rashta parts that I finally had gotten past in the novel. Grrrr, I just want to see her happy new married life!!
Honestly I wish they would change the cover art. There’s beautiful art with her and both of the love interest used often within the story, and yet the cover art shows her with only the silver haired guy. It’s kinda obvious who she’s going to end up with.
I wish they’d just change the cover art to make it less obvious so I can be more invested in the black hair guy. I actually have fallen in love with the black haired guy in just the first appearance, yet because they didn’t use the cover art of the three of them, it’s obvious he’s not going to be picked and I just feel like it’s a waste of time even likening him now.

I’ve always liked akatsuki no yona for the fact that most villains aren’t actually villainous. There’s a few radical exceptions such as the human trafficker or the priest, but most of our villains aren’t actually bad.
We see them as the bad guys because they are opposing yona and her faction, however a lot of the time these villains have their own reasons, whether it’s vengeance or to protect their own people, there’s usually a reason to why they oppose the protagonists and co.
I really love how the author has continued with this grey moral throughout the story. We see that King Il has wronged his country, but we also see how King Il was wronged too, and this is something we see in most of the villains throughout the story.
I really like these chapters. They’re really showing that neither side was right, and that it’s possible for people to be good and bad, and that even though you’re a good person to someone, you can still be a villain to another. These chapters are just really thought provoking.

Their daughter left weeping not too long ago, it would be weird if they just said "welp we just basically sold our daughter off, off to bed!" And the house was too quiet, there should've been two awake emotionally distraught adults there ╮(￣▽￣)╭ still think he should've checked a like bit
