Could you try to understand her feelings? Parents grew up in a time where that wasn’t normal. If they are willing to learn and accept then they are a great parent. I dont have parents like that so when I see her feel jealous. It is ok to cry. She is probally crying in frustration.
she also broke down when she heard people talking bad stuffs about gay people, knowing that his son is gay means those insults affects him too. a mother would be hurt if they hear someone insulting their child, and she grew up in a different environment with mostly people being homophobic (esp her friend,, the girl's mom) so yeah understand her a little more, she hasn't done bad things to the dude yet unlike the girl's mom
