I think it's because he had 4 months of confusion and being upset, I don't think it's that unreasonable if you feel betrayed by someone you really love/trust

Eugene did literally nothing to him, except happen to know a bit of the plot. He's not out proclaiming to be a prophet is just something he inadvertently knows ╥﹏╥
Oh it's definitely a situation where he's thinking too much, eugene didn't lie he just didn't tell him everything (which is fair) he wasn't betrayed he just thinks he was because he couldn't talk to eugene for months and had to think about it all by himself. We know he's very distrustful of anyone but his family we just got used to him trusting eugene
jumping to assumptions without fully speaking to eugene is so sad esp he was unconscious for 4 months eugene literally went thru lengths with his abilities and holy power just to save alexis and their people multiple times. waking up to his coma with alexis strangling him and making prophet accusations is so terrible of him... bcs lets be real, eugene and alexis loved eo and that bond crumbling bcs of that, w/o communicating to me, would piss me off if i was eugene. like after all the the things the couple went thru, eugene don't even need to prove anything to show that he shouldn't be lumped with alexis' horrible parents.
