Thank you for making the MC mature and not stupid. Us readers do not need a super intelligent MC who can solve everything but an MC that understand common sense. ML is nice as well, he uses his head up there and knows himself enough that he already admits to himself that he likes MC (ML who are confused with choosing their lovers are the most annoying), we only have gift givings and hand-holdings but the sweetness is overflowing. I was reading Solo Leveling but then the romance added in it ruined the experience for me so I stop reading the novel. I am currently looking for a different novel that can wash off the disgust. I have read the novel Omniscient Reader and Trash of Count's Family (thank the Gods and the Constellations it got no romance there, just platonic love and dedication as friends/family).
Is this okay as well? I heard the novel is better than the webtoon but I will read the webtoon first before novel (for visual refs and daydream fuel). I just wanna know the opinion of the long time readers, will there be romance? Will it add good flavor to the story? I find it annoying how romance ruin a lot of good novels/webtoons because the MC's partner is bland or stupid.

In my (unpopular) opinion, the only thing FL has going for her is that she's pretty and has a lot of money. If you didn't like the romance in Solo Leveling where FL is actually pretty strong and the ML hasn't even thought about dating (which in my opinion doesn't count as romance) then I feel you definitely won't like this.
no no, I actually like her. are you talking about the blonde girl who causes misfortune? She's okay, and the interactions with MC is nice. Seeing them lovey dovey in the future doesn't look forced or cringy. She got enough character and personality is consistent.

He dated Cha-Hae-In, the girl who did nothing but be speechless, blush and get flustered in front of him. He smiled more to the monsters he killed, he barely even thought of her unless she's around (like, 2-3 times and they are only around to raid a gate). She barely get any characterization aside from being S-Rank and a good fighter, that's all (all the 'characterizations' are from mob characters talking about her, that's all, we only got hearsays and public records).
Not much interaction with JinWoo aside from Gate/monster events. Their most convo only happened when she wanted to join his guild and fought Beru. They never talk on phone or text, they never talk on anything casually before their date (the only event they really talked alot). I'd be okay if they have atleast "Hi, good morning, time to buldozer monsters in -insert Gate location here-, ttyl" via texts or emails from time to time.
JinWoo only took her on a date because:
1. He got nothing to do that day.
2. He already thought of treating her because he just accidentally saw her naked in bath while he's using his ability.
3. That day, his sis is annoyed at him and told him to go out and hangout with his friends.
4. He only took out on a date because he got no friends, of #3 and he just remembered #2, [two birds with one stone].
Then after the date they slept together, Oh My, they are 'in love'.

The sad part for me, they put this 'date' BEFORE the most important event, the opening of the massive Gate in sky of Seoul City. After all the buildup of JinWoo's powers, Beru's next stage, new weapons, etc, (⊙…⊙ ) I just lost interest lol, the whole chapter in their date left a massive Rank SSS Red Gate in my stomach, now I have to shyt all the monsters from there. bye.

You know I actually don't like it when they put some romance in it but still read it tho.
I tried, probably the Author's lack of giving her enough substance for me to understand MC why he would "love" her. I looked a bit online some spoilers about her, I thought, "are they gonna last long? is it gonna be a stable relationship?" I didn't read all but it's like there's gonna be a different timeline or life(?) where they would still be together and gonna have a son. People are like "That's so sweet, they are still together even with different life." I'm not invested with her in the current life, how am I gonna look forward in the new one lol.
As a reader, I would sympathize and support JinWoo's choices since I've been with him throughout the story, and then Author just went out and gave him a FL that doesn't even have enough word counts in the story compared to mob characters and reporters. Igrit who never talks got more character than what Author did to Cha-Hae-In （/TДT)/
Beru's servitude and vocabulary choices which is the result of his love for historical dramas is far more enjoyable than reading Cha-Hae-In's blushes and prettiness. Even Lennart Niermann who always got forgotten or ignored gave me more emotional reactions
