i think i'm going to drop this...if rape makes sense in a fictional story, then i'm not against it, provided it's in the context. it doesn't make sense here, and not only that, we're getting into victim blaming (which happens a lot with abused people) that leads to isolation. nothing that this kid went through, being abused or raped, is his fault, but here it is...he's thinking it's his fault and HE has to fix it? he should run, and run away fast never looking back.
