I think it was like a test to make sure the date a lot about him bc the uke purposely did it during an important meaning so if he left it that meant that the seme cared a lot about him. The uke wants to ruin the seme so when he leaves it will hurt more.

i just finished it all in one day, its not much of a like happy feeling but its a very good story and it is a fufilling story but you'll fs have a big ass hole in ur heart after, but the letter at the end somewhat makes you feel better but cry a ton more, and usually i dont cry when reading shounen ai BUT THIS HIT HARDER THAN MY DADS BELT LIKE SHEEHS, i mean read it but be ready for the pain :D
I hate sad endings but honestly the ending is very fitting even though it’s sad. Good story overall even if it ends like that. It’s way better than stories with rushed endings or endings that don’t make sense.
