I don't think it was really a plan, more like she knew if he killed her with his own hands, he would feel worse than if she simply just died. And if she was going to be dead either way, she chose the path that would have been easier on him
I know, I was just thinking it was so dramatic it made me laugh. It was just funny because of the gap between reading the chapters, the tone was interrupted so it felt weird and almost random unlike when you read it all at once. The chapters are so short so there wasn't enough time to get into the vibe again you know
