While there may be some people here for the toxicity, there are some sensible people who can read a story and still not be okay with the toxicity and rightfully criticize the actions of the characters?
And no, it doesn’t mean you don’t have a job, a hobby or reading this story fulfills any of your kinks. One can read a story, analyze it for what it is and choose to like it or not. Same goes for the characters— like here where 90% of the criticisms are (rightfully so) directed towards the ML as opposed to the story itself.

Maybe because what they don’t like are aspects of the story, not the story itself, like how a character behaves or certain events. There’s also ppl who continue reading solely because they’re aching for Jaekyung’s downfall. I personally am only reading this because I wanna see Dan have a better life away from Jaekyung and for Potato. As for Jaekyung, I could care less about him and would be content with simply not seeing him with Dan. That’s how detestable Jaekyung is to me, not the story itself.

I hate to stereotype the entire asia but somehow every parent is obsessed with grades and ranks and if their child doesn't live up to their expectations, they get violent either through words or physically it feels so weird...
True they always burdened their kids to become successful and they think academic life is everything. And I think the kids who used to be good in study suddenly don't do much progress later are more unlucky (since I'm one of them)
