At first I thought there were two of them (the one from the present and the future). Then I started thinking that the price he paid to reverse time (or send both of them to the past, assuming he is responsible for that and it's not related to the power she carries) was that only she would be able to keep her memories, while he would gradually lose his and the strength he had acquired (notice that when helping her he states that he should conserve what's left of his energy and then we see him lying down in bed looking a pained and tired).
Of course in the latest chapter we see that he is thoughtful and wary of his words towards her (maybe he still has his memories or parts of it, who knows), but then again he is hiding the fact that he is from the Bahamut Kingdom (so his wariness can be due to various factors).
But that's just me trying to make sense of things, can't wait for more chapters.
