Basically he folds one of his thumb while covering with the other hand and aligning the other thumb , so when he moves the hand it seems like he detaches his thumb.

Ive seen comments saying hes saving his friends secret before the baby but like have u actually read the chapter, theres a reason why the nurse was adament about using biological familys blood, it could make the baby worse. I respect him from trying to stop him from using his blood, cause after all this guy will kil a person for them. It took guts, but i wish he would just be honest, than they would stop wasting time arguing and find someone who has that blood type.
