On chapter 57 so far and I’m wondering what’s duke Luther’s deal?? For someone with so much power and supposedly wealth, why is he salivating over every penny he hears of?

-he was so happy receiving only three gold bars as a bribe before. Three bars is not that much for a Duke who is this close to the king.

-and now he is salivating over the profits of a clothing boutique?! For someone dealing with mines, a clothing boutique is supposed to be nothing.

-the only thing that could make sense is the amount of money he keeps asking from the grand duke as a “dowry” as I imagine that would be a great load.

I can’t understand this, it doesn’t make any sense. Unless he’s a duke in name only and someone else is taking all of his money? But again, he just said on a previous chapter that thanks to the king’s laziness and absence from government meetings, he was able to make many decisions for his own benefit.

Other than that, his hunger for small money doesn’t meet the character he is supposed to be, a powerful wealthy rotten man.

    Teru November 10, 2025 5:20 pm

Him saying that the boutique is raking in all the gold coins he could ever dream of, is what triggered me. Like what do you mean, a boutique’s profit is the maximum of what you could dream of? Seriously?!
If that’s the case, then why doesn’t he have a series of boutiques?
Or did he mean money he wants to acquire without running the business himself?
I really don’t get his reasoning and this is making him a ridiculous character rather than an evil one.

When does he pass away? Which chapter? I’m on 49 so far and can’t wait for that

What’s a bright future for a Butler? In all the stories I read and movies I watched that have butlers, they remain butlers till death or retirement if there is one. So what did she mean by telling Uros that he would have a bright future ahead if becomes a butler elsewhere else?

    BOMBASDICK October 9, 2025 5:53 am

Because kael's household that time was not really secured. The only member remaining is a child, the only person who's holding the mansion together was uros. On the other hand, the place that was suggested to him has an active members so the household is prosperous.

The bright future of a butler lies with the household they are working at.

    Teru October 10, 2025 12:13 am

Yeah, what bright future exactly? Higher pay but remains as a house manager?
I see the property owners get higher positions, from count to marquess to duke to prince to king etc… but a butler is a butler. They just go with their lords, and remain as their butlers.

    BOMBASDICK October 10, 2025 7:00 am

I see. Well i think in the pov of a servant, especially of a butler. I think their mindset focuses more on the pride of serving someone than the pay itself.

I often encounter this behavior of butlers where they take pride and joy on who they're serving with. I dont know how to explain it properly but all i can say is they don't think less of themselves as house manager... their bright future is too die or retire SATISFIED with their work and master.

Respectable and competent master = happy butler
    Incompetent master = sad butler

Can they just disappear?!! I hate them so much. Arabelle is so annoying and her brother is a super freak.
The royal family is never a good news in these stories

Teru September 24, 2025 12:59 pm

Why is the whole chapter about pink hair I was scrolling without reading ┗( T﹏T )┛

Teru September 11, 2025 12:28 pm

What’s going on? I feel like I lost track of things here? What’s up with this school? Are they teaching false information?

    GreenTea September 13, 2025 11:13 pm

Seems like they were teaching biased political views of the country to bully her

Teru September 8, 2025 7:28 pm

I’m enjoying all of the reactions in these last chapters with the kids

Teru August 18, 2025 4:25 pm

But how many seasons are there

Teru August 17, 2025 11:17 am

Will there be any mentions of closure to these three topics in the upcoming chapters?
-the family of the merchant ship that was detained, nothing about them yet after Heli put a deadline for people to report the amount of money they invested into it.
-the temple being exposed, like will there finally be no temple?
-and the most important part, the clinic that Hess is preparing, will they talk more about it?

I am asking because most say that next chapter will be the last, then there will be sequel chapters with kids and all, and so far they did not go back to these points yet.

I was really invested in those three topics to see how they fold in. I really hope they are going to be mentioned again for full closure.

I read on previous comments that Diana in the novel was not as plain and stupid as she is portrayed here. But was she this selfish? I have never seen a character who is supposed to be healing people be this selfish. She was greedy and selfish since before she looses her healing power.
I really didn’t like how she was worried only for herself and not for the king who has always been kind to her and was defending her all the time.
It serves her right that she spoke her mind out loud.

    Anemone Onion August 15, 2025 3:46 pm

    She's very selfish

    Shishi August 15, 2025 4:24 pm

She's def still very selfish in the novel but the manhwa changed a lot of things, for example this scene, she blurted out about her losing her crown princess title—which she didn't in the novel. Ch 113 is the last ch of main story and I think the emperor died in the next chaoter iirc. In the novel, he lived a bit longer and Diana took care of him everyday on her own, nursing him. Helios and Diana divorced and she willingly gave up her title cause she can't bring herself to have a child with Helios. She was still tending to the Emperor til he dies even tho she's no longer the crown princess. So yeah, I do agree she def is a bit selfless about that part and showed she genuinely cared for him, unlike what they portrayed in the manhwa.

    Munsault August 15, 2025 4:44 pm

I think in the manwha are taking shortcuts to be more understandable for the readers and shorten the plot. Also, you can hate her as you want.
While reading the novel, I thought that Diana was a criticism about the typical fl written by a check list, so she isn't able to change and is only stucked by the standars of the character, so she won't evolve or change after the novel end.

Thank you! I really was curious to know as how they making her in the manhwa just doesn’t make sense.
