i know its weird but we need to understand this is like the olden times, they dont give 2 shits about age lmao; there was never a ‘minimum’ age requirement - no point in trying to make sense of it, its how it was, just respect the sentiment or whatever

In one of the later chapters. They have him at 24 years old (idk why there's a discrepancy) but that at least make him 17 when they met.
Which is a little better but yeah its still like.. make them the same age maybe

I think at this point Carcel remembers a part of his past lifes... And he's trying to confirm if Emiliano really does remember and if Ines actually still has lingering feelings for him. He believed Ines is with him so she could divorce him and go back to Emiliano, which is why he asked if he was there where Ines was.

Inez is repeating her lives every time she dies (though it’s always suicide).

In her first life, she went along the usual path of a noblewoman and married the crown prince. She was abused and mistreated by him and his mother. She was blamed for many miscarriages/stillbirths which were actually the result of STDs from her slutty husband. Her family didn’t support her at all. She aired his dirty laundry to everyone, then committed suicide with a hunting rifle in front of him.

In her second life, she returned to the age of 6, and forced an engagement to Carcel instead of the prince because he’s the only person the royalty would allow her to marry instead. Since he was somewhat a playboy in her first life, she was hoping for an easy divorce. When she was older, she happened to fall in love with a young painter and decided to elope with him instead of her original plan. They ran away to a distant land, got married, and had a baby. When her brother tracked her down he immediately shot and killed the painter in front of her and dragged her back home with him. They were going to force her to remarry (I think an old crusty guy) since she was “damaged goods”. She overheard this plan and that they were going to dispose of the baby since it would be a hindrance to the family’s reputation. Since she knew there was no way to escape or protect her child, she killed her baby as painlessly as she could do it wouldn’t suffer from however her family was planning to kill it, then committed suicide with a knife.

In her third and current life, she returned to the age of 16 and immediately entered a spiral of depression and self harm for several years. She also lost one of her few trusted people, her brother who she couldn’t even look at. She supported the painter from afar, but ensured they would never meet. She now firmly believes that the reason she keeps repeating lives is because of the sin of suicide, so she no longer considers that an option. She decides to go along with her og plan of marrying Carcel so she can finally be free once she divorced him for the cheating. The stress, self harm, mental illness, and possibly repeating lives has caused significant strain on her body, the prince (aka her mortal enemy) is still obsessed with her and jealous of Carcel. Carcel just recently had a dream where he remembered at least her second life, and went to confront the painter.

First life and Inez do not have a memory of this: Inez and Carcel were married. They were both in love, Crown prince is inlove with Inez as well and I dont remember why tho but then Crown prince was killed in this life.

Second life (to Inez this was her first life): Crown prince had all the memory from the first life and thus used it to groom Inez into liking her then you all know what happened. Crown prince did not get killed in this life and Inez, suicide.

Third life: Inez returns to 16yo and forces her engagement to end but did not went the way she wants it. Instead, she chose to sully her body and fell in love with Emiliano. Eloped, got to be poor, escapee then returned to her family only to end in suicide.

Fourth life (Inez's last life? cause she can no longer regress after this): Emiliano got killed previously so he got all the recap from papa Jesus. Inez returns to 6yo and is the current plot right now.

Is this a spoiler? I read the entire story and the way I described it is what is portrayed to the readers up until this point. A happy/normal marriage with Carcel and the act mechanisms for remembering the past life are definitely not described. If you’re going to give out spoilers like this at least put a warning at the top. Not everyone has reas the novel

I think this is bit mixed up. I think a few chapters back we get a glimpse of the first life Inez had with Cárcel. If I’m remembering correctly she had a flashback to her current maid(Lorrena I believe) crying over her sick body. She didn’t seem to have any recollection of that happening in what she believes is her first life with the crown prince. I might be wrong but I remember kinda freaking out over this discovery from Inez. I also think her regression to the age of 6 is what happened in her current life and the regression to age 16 is her second life when she met the painter. That’s why from the ages of 16-20(?) in her current life she was in a major depression because that’s the years she spent with the painter and she obviously remembers that so it kinda triggered her when she turned 16.

Pardon my memory cause I read a LOT of novels but I know for a fact that Inez's first life was that she was married with Carcel. They are destined/fated by God but never had a child. Inez gets pregnant multiple times but all of their child ends up being dead all because of our little depraved jealous Alicia. Yep, she's the sole reason why Inez had to repeat all her lives. You see, this manhwa is about Catholicism where killing yourself is considered as grave sin. If you get killed before your pre destined death you'll be granted a wish to use later on your restarted life and if you kill yourself, you'll will have memories of your past life as punishment. Inez was killed by Alicia in the first timeline cause she's jealous af. And now when Inez was about to restart her second life, she was asked what would be her wish and she wished for Carcel's happiness and her memory was wipe squeky clean.
