i loooove this kind of depiction of "falling in love" as an actual gradual process of trying things, figuring out feelings, and wooing someone. most stories depict romance as a "BAM oh wow that person did one thing that changed my life and made me fall deeply in love with them", even the other slow burn stories. but actually some times it takes time, and there's almost always going to be one person with stronger feelings, and one person who falls first... like people who are childhood friends can go years without having feelings for each other and then just gradually fall in love.
one unrealistic thing i hate that these stories never address (i've only seen one story address it) is that, if a child has been starving to the point of skin and bones, and you suddenly bring them a table full of heavy luxurious foods, THEY GET SICK. their stomach rejects it.
There's a few i found i think but can't remember. Can you tell me the tittle of the one you read? And yes fr they can't eat that much. They need to start with soft foods and liquid diet
Kind of came here to say the same thing, it's so silly, cause even with dehydration you have to be careful of just giving someone tonnes of water. Starvation is like a whole other thing.

Ohh this. And i think there's another one with black hair kid. That one sad too
My thoughts exactly! Full of oils and salt? You just know that's wrecking their stomach
