I’m sorry but no to Emiel. I don’t like that they’re basically siblings in a way since he saw her grow up. I’m more into Anne. Both are around the same age, both tried/did save the other, both have a lot of trust and they understand each other a lot as well. Both are also into magic in a way which is a bonus.
There’s honestly no hope for him as a character. Doesn’t matter what he’ll do, I’m gonna hate him.
a) Sold her for a castle because of a misunderstanding which he should’ve known better since he has been there with her when they were children.
b) Couldn’t recognize her even though the knight did almost immediately. This means he probably forgot about her and that he must need some high prescription glasses.
c) Doesn’t do anything to fix their relationship and highkey believes he’s amazing. He’s not.
d) He literally raped her multiple times (not shown, but I believe it was implied) because he just pushed her down and fucked her. No consent.
e) What he did when he didn’t recognize her was the real him. That’s how he treats other people which means he isn’t just a piece of shit to her. He’s a piece of shit in general.
f) The fact that I can name all of this on the top of my head means he’s a trash.
No, he didn't sold her because of misunderstandings. Bella only peck his lips when he was sleeping then he wake up and french kiss her, after that he realized that he likes Bella, but because he was afraid that love would only hold him back, since he want to become The Emperor and unify the continent, so he sold her the next morning.
