I've read so many other storys after this so I don't rem if it was this one but there was soo much rape that i didn't want to reread this ever again (like is said I coud be wrong sorry) but the side story is fr veeeery cute and they got one of the cutest bby so it was a good happy end ...

For me the main story is frustating and kinda dark. I was lucky I read this when the main story end.. If I read this on going I think I'll just drop it even before the first seasons end. I keep reading since I want to read the baby part.. Didn't expect that the story was so depressing :( Still glad I can met the baby tho

80% of this story is pure rape. People brush it off cause the top has a character development and a sad backstory.

Guy keeps NK (bottom) hostage and threatens to murder him if he leaves, forces him to work, on one opportunity he grabbed his head, smashed it against the ground, broke his nose and r4ped him right there until he became unconscious, AND HE STILL KEPT GOING with a sadistic smile on his face, the abuse obviously continues, but because the seme has been abused as a kid and has """""""development""""" (my ass) apparently that makes eeeeverything he did okay and justified and people completely ignore the psychological toll it had on NK because people that read is fetishize gay couples and romanticize abuse

it is extremely toxic and i used to hate it back when it first came out, but after reading it fully i really enjoyed it. i suggest giving it a shot and reading it all the way through. i felt like i saw myself in seungho which made me sympathize with him more, although i don’t condone the way he treated nakyum at all. if you read the story as seungho’s development rather than a love story i think it makes it a lot better. maybe i just have shit taste, but honestly this story was really emotional

Honestly i’d rather avoid reading anything with sa in it, it disgusts me, even tho the character get a development or whatever idc, it’s still sa for me
If the problem was only a toxic character that evolves in a good one, i wouldn’t care that much, but when a story involves sa and non cons i just can’t force myself to like it

I personally find the idea of redeeming a sadistic serial r4pist to be quite problematic because if you reread the whole story not buying into that bullshit narrative and concentrate SOLELY on Nakyum's POV (aka, THE VICTIM), the genre is horror. But yay. Abuser gets happy ending I guess

Exactly!! I remember how everyone was saying that Seungho finally found his soulmate or some bullshit and every time I was like “but what about Nakyum though?”. They were like “Nakyum is perfect for Seungho” but Seungho was absolutely awful to Nakyum. Everyone was so focus on the top’s pov that they completely brushed the fact that Nakyum literally deserved better. The guy was so traumatized that he “fell in love” with his abuser. Stockholm syndrome type of shit.

I don’t think he was redeemed and honestly I didn’t find the ending that fulfilling from what I remember. His backstory doesn’t excuse his actions but it makes them make more sense. (Not the way he treated Nakyum, but the way he was going around fucking everybody.) I agree it was horrific for Nakyum and it was impossible to forgive Seungho for many of the decisions he made. I believe there was a scene where Nakyum was going to die near the end, and I would’ve preferred that as an ending. Then Seungho would have to live with that lol. I prefer more tragic and toxic stories and I can understand why that’d be seen as problematic.

There are so many such stories that I have trust issues with webtoons I read for the first time. I'm so disgusted with such trope that I ask for confirmation in the comments before diving into any new stories. I just don't understand how there are so many people in here who support those rape-filled-porn-with-plot-esque stories and give it 5 star and most of such stories have a rating of 9+ which makes me question as to whether there really is a good plot in there.
