Running to the helicopter reminds me of a scene from the movie Dawn of the Dead.

I saw another novel with an actual toddler on the cover in a subjective pose with the uke and I was told the toddler is the seme. The name is, “The Entire Zerg Race Are My Wife Fans”. I dropped that ish so fast. I seen so many great reviews but the cover just grossed me out. Are these authors ok in the head, how can they condone this and think is ok or everyone will be ok with it? Y’all are not prepared for what’s about to transpire. Matthias already plotting to disrupt Kyle and Leyla’s engagement. Also Kyle’s mom is a bitch. I’m glad Leyla got herself out of that engagement . I would have done the same. I can’t have someone’s like Kyle’s mom as a mother N law.

That's the issue with Kyle. Many people seems doesn't realize this. He often times failed at standing for himself & Leyla. Too naive. Kyle is someone I would chose as friend. A comfort blanket. But I hardly can see him as a man.
And at the other hand, Matthias ready to wreck a whole world for Layla. Sure Matthias is toxic as hell but majority of his toxic antics comes from his ability to express his emotions like a normal person.

A reader who understands the complexities of the characters, especially Matthias or the story in general.
He did not try at all, hence why many of us prefer Matthias, not because we romanticize his actions but because but the character has traits or motivations that make them realistic and interesting.
