I really hate how every manhwa handles evil/abused children. Like rn the king could of handled the girl better instead of just having her sent away. Its not her fault that his brother & her mom feed her mind with delusions, shes just a product of her environment. So I wish at least one manga took the issue seriously instead of just using it for the good ole cliche plot. I even read one story where the dad tells his daughter to bully his illegitimate daughter, but soon him & his sons start to bond/love the illegitimate daughter. So he punishes his daughter for the bullying ,that he literally told her to do, by killing her trusted servant and secluded her far away. I understand they are evil and have done stuff, but to not give them any sort of a chance to change is wild to me. Though some are truly evil, majority are just a result of their bad environment.
Personally I loce this manga, it's like soap opera bad, and unfortunately I was a victim to them as I child. And I feel the dads reaction at the end is like what you see in novelas.
The end of the recently uploaded chapter, when he realizes he sent his real daughter to the hearsay interrogation. It felt very over the top and the close up shot felt like what they show in soap operas/telenovellas. They always do a close of their shocked face with suspenseful music in the background.
I would usually say why are they being so mean to a kid? But this kid gives me the sense that they're gonna be some manipulative person later on in the story, as they all usually have that smile. And I hate crazy manipulative kids the most because I'm conflicted about hating them since they're a child.
This story is weird asf and the author always making him change to a child at very suggestive times is nasty. Like I get he's actually a grown man but she is still literally kissing the body of a child. And this is distrubing me more b/c I just finished watching the episode of House where Chase kisses the dying 12yrd old. Like i understand your sentiment but you still don't do that at all wtf.

Nope! Those villagers deserved a proper face to face apology from her. They legit wanted to die & give up when they were in their cells. I always hate how manhwa brush off very quickly serious topic/scenarios like this. Its like they just want the mc to collect good deed so they looks like a hero/good. Its always saving a slave, helping a village or an abused prince, or opening and helping an orphanage.
Yup. Typical white savior attitude. Especially since she already knew about all of this ahead of time. She didn't have to lock them up or give harsh accusations like she did since she already knew about it all AND how to find the evidence.
It reminds me of this other story where these miners went on strike and in exchange for losing their right to strike in the future the mc(?) gave them her “word”. Like strikes are instrumental in making changes to workplace and someone from the modern era (it was an isekai) should know that.
The saving the slaves ones always piss me off to no end because it's always just glazed over like the fix would be super easy.
