Ngl, the adaptation is shit. I haven't read the novels tho so Idk if the writing of the original work is just like that or the adaptation just fucked it up. The pacing was horrible and some chapters and scenes felt disconnected. The development Yeonwoo and Keith's relationship felt dull and some important emotional scenes' delivery was just... lacking.
Honestly, the side stories are way better imo. Like the pacing was a great improvement and especially the art. I do appreciate the time and effort that the artist did but yeah, sadly, they fucked up.
Also, apparently, Yeonwoo in the manhwa is different from the novel, according to the novel readers. Like they made him someone who's more likeable compared to Keith and a "good person" , when in the novel, he's not a "good person" and dislikable in a different way.
Maybe I'll read the novel and come back here to list out stuff that were left out/changed. Cause honestly, the whole premise is interesting and it felt like the adaptation didn't do it justice, unlike Kiss Me If You Can.
The way they draw the scenes, it's like you're actually watching a movie. They're also really good at conveying emotions without relying solely in expressions and words. Like they use everything they can to make things as authentic as they could. Especially the atmosphere and paneling. I can't explain it properly as I'm not really good with my words, but yeah, they're amazing. You rarely see this is comics like this and I really love it.
