Why do they think that life as a commoner in middle ages is fun and relaxing??

IKR commoners always has it hard with their minimum wage, hard labor, always being exploited by the nobles and the unfair system brought by the monarchy. The ones below the heirarchy almost never gets free time since they cant afford it!!!!

though I remember reading somewhere that actually we have a lot less free time now than we did in the past... Because for us, we have our 9-5 jobs and whatever, while the time they finish their work would depend on what it was and how much people were helping out, rather than official work hours... (unless you work at like a café or something)...
Noble girls had to go to academies in this world, though I think historically, they would've learned the arts from private tutors instead... Commoners don't learn stuff like this, but instead were taught by their parents, so no homework.
But commoner doesn't mean peasant, so actually the range is pretty huge. It also depends on the job :P ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
But for some people, being a commoner is more relaxing than all the strict rules with nobles. Commoners' mistakes will be pointed outright and they'll just be scolded and such. Nobles it's all about reputation and whatnot, so they fight at each other subtly and if you make a big mistake, instead of getting hit or getting your ear pulled, you would just be flat-out disowned, so it's a lot less stressful in that sense.
Is he reading her mind?
