i love how this breaks my heart into pieces but at the same time confused why I’m going through this drama. I mean if ‘possibly’ yeon and emperor can have another one on one character. Pls pls yeon reveal your ‘real self’ to the emperor. Straight up tell him who you are for godsake (at the first place y u even keeping a distance from him?) I don’t think I can handle this prolonged torment.

"SPOILER ALERT"
From the ‘reader’s’ understanding before she transmigrated into the story:
Duroa - in love with Nocton but turned a villain, well because Nocton’s attention wasn’t hers to begin with. Harassed the FL, then later met her demise which was made possible by Nocton
Alice - ‘Main FL’ of the novel. Had a lover “ED” but buried him in her heart. <doesn’t know his real identity yet>
Aaron - considered as the ‘2nd ML’ but details were not elaborated.
Nocton - ‘ML’ who protected Alice from the abusive Duroa.
How did the 2nd story went after transmigration happened?
Duroa <reader> - became closed with Nocton. The only ‘friend’ Nocton had
Alice - ‘Main FL’ friends with Duroa. Has prophetic dreams <not mention from the reader’s perspective>. Still inlove with “ED” whose identity she has yet to discover
Aaron - the lover of Alice <this was later realised by Duroa> . Avoids Alice for whatever reason, he seems to be reluctant in telling why.
Nocton - turned out to be the villain <thanks to Alice’s dreams and warning Duroa> He seems to be not letting go of Duroa and in turn is clinging to her even more.
Remarks of ‘ORIGINAL’ story?
this is why the ‘reader’, who have transmigrated, totally confused everything from the start.
She REMEMBERED ‘Ed’ as someone who exposed the crimes of Duroa then punished her for it. She then thought Nocton was the ML so she tried her best to be on his good side.
TBH the ‘original’ story was not even depicted clearly, since we are only seeing it in ‘reader’s’ POV who happened to transmigrate into the novel. Plus originally, the novel had 3 volumes but the ‘reader’ only read up to vol 2. Which is kind of frustrating because she didn’t know how things went. Base from how things were explained in Ch. 10 <well it was only a tad sneak peak of the original plot> the novel itself had it’s mysteries as well. From the the world of the ‘reader’ many were saying “ED” was Nocton. <not to mention Nocton’s first name is “EDGAR” which made the ‘reader’ believe he was the ML>
Remarks of latest <transmigration happened> story
Now that Duroa is aware of Nocton being the Villain, all thanks to Alice’s dreams, she now dreads her involvement with the villain.
But the way how I see it she does not hate Nocton at all <she just doesn’t want to die> and considering to all the snippets from Nocton’s perspective. He sure had quite a terrible and cold family. Which I kind of get why he’s being overly obsessed by Duroa <she was the only one warm and ‘different’ to him>
Duroa’s character is quite slow, tends to jump into things (?) <correct me if I’m wrong>, and idk I don’t see her words strong to me (or is it because I’ve been reading too much badass FL that she isn’t cut out for this thing) I know she’s scared but she’s been involved with Nocton for 10 yrs. how can she not see things??
Anyways, Nocton, sheesh he’s really giving me the creeps <since he’s depicted that way in the manhwa> He does whatever he wants, overly suspicious to anyone especially Duroa’s circle. yes he’s rude but the guy has been growing up at home where he’s been dealing with his abusive family. His defense mechanism is always manipulating people. He’s definitely not normal but c’mon he’s not that horrible <but he can be if things really end up worse like a total psycho or something> The guy has a knack of doing ‘selfish’ things even to a fault I mean duuh he got black magic. He also isn’t a good person but not entirely EVIL, yet.
Both Nocton and Duroa are in a complete misunderstanding. <like wow, both of them gives me headache. Duroa is super scared by Nocton and here we have Nocton whose totally confused with his own emotions, even his words and explanations are all tangled up> I just-
ADDITIONALLY between Alice and Aaron, <mygod these two>
I just don’t get why he avoids her <I mean bruh, why u do this to urself? What’s keeping you from chasing the woman of your dreams?>
*sighs the story is a mess.
LITERALLY EVERYTHING WAS A MISTAKE right from the start. It seems like the mistake here means the mistake each character has done in the story. Well majority of it was the reader’s involvement but I can’t seem to put the blame on her. As I said, everyone <the characters> has their own reasons.

This makes so much sense. But why was he so rude to her? Like I get he's in love but the stuff like torturing her and throwing her gifts in a lake what's the explanation for that? He explained the tea situation but not anything else. Like what the ML said "No one treats a loved one like that" so is there a double meaning I missed?

Tbh, my best guess would be that he was testing her? Like, he started realizing that he wanted an actual friendship (or developed close feelings for her?) but since he "hypnotized" her and thought it worked, he was trying to test her. By testing I mean he wanted to see if she actually WAS hypnotized and if she would leave him if he was harsh to her. There were some instances where he kept asking himself if she would come back and that "she left as if she would never return" (don't know the actual words but it was something like that lol?). I think it was in the chapters with the tea (his side of the story) and the birthday gift (her side of the story). Please do correct me if I'm wrong and feel free to state other theories (●'◡'●)ノ.

Well based from the childhood scenes shown in the manhwa <and my assumptions> he was kind of rude to her but he really didn’t cast her out tbh. So I think he actually is fond of Duroa’s company <subconsciously>. After ‘throwing the ring into the lake’ scene, Ecton was conflicted whether he wants to keep Duroa or don’t want to see her anymore. That’s why the scene where they were at a party, Ecton was seen with the a blonde girl <forgot her name> in Ecton’s perspective he was actually testing out if he would prefer duroa and probably will not care if he doesn’t see her anymore <I see it as him being childish of ignoring the issue they had between duroa rather than actually facing it hahaha> but Duroa actually cared for him and seek him at his mansion. But both of them were laughing when they fell into the lake scene after that so I think both did have some happy moments back in their childhood days.
What remains a question to me was Duroa’s birthday. I think we will get an explanation or flash back scenes to this <hopefully> as the story progress. I mean the way the author does it he/she inserts random flashbacks with diff pov’s into the story that’s why it gets confusing sometimes hahaha.
dat YUSTAF edit was phenomenal
