Hmm... Well, I have complex feelings towards the whole thing...
On one hand, I have this nostalgic feeling and illusion, and I wonder if it will let us take a look to our beloved characters future days. The orange hair reminds me of Kyo, so I was wondering if he could be his and Tooru's son (we don't know how much time has passed after Tooru finished her studies, it just says that it's after that), and that could be interesting. If it's a short story (and she says that's the case), then it could complement the end of the original story. Tooru and the others have had their story. The end was good. Let it rest as it is, and see this as something to add to their universe and sensei's great work at transmitting feelings. Give way to the new ones, since when one story has it ends... Another one starts, that's something Fruits basket tried to teach us. And this will show it.
On the other hand, I'm afraid of it. For me, the end is perfect. I just hope it doesn't mess with it and ruin it in any way. But then again if that happens, I'll forget it's existence and keep in my ming the original, perfect, story.
I didnt know thats a short story if thats the case im glad, having like 20 volume on another group, I dont think I'll follow, fruits basket too precious to me.
