Going by this and the other drawing sensei did of Asami carrying Aki over his shoulder, I think she's redrawing most of the stuff going on in this arc. Maybe she's even adding more scenes to them as well, that's why she's taking 6 months break. I'm happy that we can see work in progress on her twitter :D

Trying to figure out if it's a redrawing of this scene. Is it definitely Sudou and not Mikhail?
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/you_re_my_loveprize_in_viewfinder/mh/v07/c047/10/

Akihito is still tied up onto the crane so it's definitely the warehouse scene with Sudou, now he wants a piece of dat ass.

Why would Sudou be going after Aki's ass? That doesn't fit into what was going on in that scene.

Aki's pants had slipped down because...fan service. Er, Aki had put on clothes that were too big too look like he fit in the club. Just because Sudou wants to kill Aki doesn't mean he won't take time out to admire the face that launched a thousand mafia gambling ships. Who knows what Sudou says as he caresses those trembling cheeks? He could be talking about how Asami touched them, or how Asami would never do this *imagine action* again.
I am coming to terms with that fact that Aki's sexual victimization is necessary in issues where he and Asami don' get together. I don't think it's abut the plot. I suspect it's about giving fans Aki's bum (or some kind of sex scene). I think that a segment of the readers don't care if BL sex is consensual, as long as they see hot man on man pics. That's not a judgment--different people like different things. I think that if a certain portion of people who buy the manga have certain expectations, they are likely to get what they paid for (not always--just much of the time). If I were trying to make a living, and I noticed people paid for x, I'd produce x.

-_- isn't already like that though. I feel like this is becoming one of the typical yaoi mangas. Isn't that why the rating is going down so much? I'm reading hoping that it will change.
I'm not surprised that it's losing its support, it started off unique and different, but now i feel like it's becoming generic like the other yaoi mangas.

I actually feel like it's the other way around. It started out very trope-y and developed into something unique. Like it started with a dominant seme bullying and raping a smaller uke but then the uke turned out not to be submissive and instead has a will of his own, and the seme has deeper feelings that surprise even him. The relationship is complex and continues to grow and develop in a way few other yaoi with the same tropes have.

I'm thinking this scene is a flashback/nighmare of Akihito's. Or it could be Asami's... wouldn't THAT be a nice change!
Akihito's pants were slipping down, but his underwear stayed in place during the whole warehouse scene. Had this actually happened, Akihito would've been unable to pull his underwear back up, and Sudou certainly wouldn't have bothered since he was intent on killing him anyway.

Yeah options seem to be
1) She's redrawing the original scene to sex it up
2) She's adding in a panel, poss one of the blank ones
3) We're being shown the scene from Aaron's POV
4) It's a flashback/dream
5) Akihito gets kidnapped and tied to a hook twice in one volume.
I think most likely is 1 or 4 but knowing Akihito's luck, who knows!

It's not filling in an empty panel because there's nothing in the existing pages that corresponds to the frame at the top of that page. It's a completely new page.

6. It's going to be an extra-- a treat for all the Sudou/Akihito fans!
7. Sakazaki managed to get hold of a time machine and was going to sell it to Mikhail (that's why he's there). Mikhail plans to use it to go back in time and steal that damn casino rights deed before Asami can get it. Unfortunately, before Mikhail had the chance to complete the transaction with Sakazaki, Sudou stumbled upon the machine and used it to go back time to the warehouse to add even more insult to Akihito's injuries...

LoL. What's so unique and different 'bout viewfinder in the beginning? full of rape scenes? LMAO.
Viewfinder is more and more like shounen/drama manga, more focusing on sudou's and Asami's rival case than Asami-Aki's love story. Even the sex scenes are lesser than before.
Viewfinder story line is not cheap or soap opera story line. That's what I think that it's so unique and different till now.
Though sometimes I hate sensei's erotic fanservice..ewwwww

It's funny how different people perceive things. I liked the cheeky ninja uke from the start. I guess the intrepid young love interest is a type of trope, but you don't often see ballsy ukes in yaoi. The rape is standard yaoi, though I thought the play was imaginative and the old school film use was a nice touch. But even in the first chapter, I thought there was something a little different--both about how Aki wasn't a pathetic victim even if he was raped, and in the end when Asami sympathizes with Aki and places an hand on Aki's head. I am not saying it's a huge departure from any romance novel you may read, but there is something there.
I also think that the balance of romance and drama in the currant arc really works for me. The central question of Aki's struggle against accepting his feelings for Asami and Aki's fear that giving in to love will change who he is still drives much of Aki's actions. Sure the plot with Sudou and whomever else matters--but it goes hand in hand with the romance.

I agree with most of what you said, except the "not being a pathetic victim" in this manga at times came across as the rape being glanced over or treated too lightly, at least in my eyes. Which kind of is another trope, in a way. What really made it unique to me was the Hong Kong arc though, because it's pretty rare to have the main couple actually separated for such a long time, so that really stood out to me. But I like the way their feelings seem to develop at the moment as well. I just hope they'll continue to make progress.
RYUU-SAN KILLED ME!!!!
