Technically she didn't steal anything. Alex was the one who borrowed the books from that certain library which doesn't allow any female to enter. Then Alex gave the books to Sanghee. It becomes a trouble since her daddy, the king, found out that she (a female) is reading those books (that should be illegal for all female). As a king, he must obviously ust punish her. However as a daddy, he cares and loves her too much that it pains him to give her any punishment (although he himself hasn't really realized his true feelings for his daughter). And the same thing goes for the brothers. That's why now the three of them are saying nonsense just to try to save Sanghee lol
