gosh y'all in the comments are so unsympathetic and scathing towards Adele. High society and the politics are savage and a dog eat dog world....you guys don't know what it's like to live in such a world where people's only entertainment are scandals and gossip. If she could, Adele would ignore it but to ignore and shun high society is not helpful for the future of their family after marriage. it is not the way to live. and if she told it to him straight, he wouldn't realize how serious the rumors are and how damaging it is to their relationship and her reputation when they get married. to be shunned from high society and have such rumors is not good in such a world. at first I didn't really understand so much why she was behaving the way she was. Sure it wasn't the best way to behave and seemingly high maintenance but the reasoning behind it in relation to their place in society; it makes sense and i'm sympathetic to the need for the showy display

nah. doesnt make sense. This is Astrid Young situation from Crazy Rich Asian, where the guy faked cheating so that he could divorce Astrid and left his son because he felt inferior to her family's wealth. And in her words 'Its not my job to make you feel like a man. I can't make you something you are not'. It is not her job to sort out his insecurities if he doesn't decide to be mature about it and work it out with her. And she has every right to not have to deal with his grand scheme of faking a cheating and making her miserable, like it is her fault that he is insecure.
Same here, Adele is making a mountain out of a molehill, using society judgement as an excuse to gaslight Felix into thinking that it is all his fault and his sole responsibility to feel bad and fix everything for her the way she want it. Felix is an adult and should be her equal life long companion, not someone she gaslights into submission by making all these unnecessary angst to emotionally break and manipulate him.

still doesnt explain that she can act like that. He is a human being, the entire conflict started with her not letting him speak, overwhelming him with her own thoughts and getting all mad without actually being clear. And she got mad cos the duke smiled at a maid... something that she told him to do. Its not his job to deal with her insecurity if she isnt taking charge to consult him and fixing it the right way. And she has no right to make Felix feel miserable and running around in circles because of her own issues that for some reason she keeps from him. Maybe Felix can do better and things would resolve if she actually tells him what he needs to do like an adult, instead of making him run around like a rat trying to figure it out. That is called playing games. Like when a woman rejects a man but actually subconsciously expecting the man to keep asking her, and getting mad if he didnt and making it his fault for not going after her. Most men do not like these type of games. Most humans dont. Thats why its only in fiction. We are not mind readers! Nothing to do with 21st century. You cant always use history to justify actions all the time, especially if she was a 21st century woman before.... Basically, treat adults like adults

1. he was going to confess to her anyway even if she didn't do all this bullshit. 2. he would have listened to her just like he does now, cause he loves her that much.
3. http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/la_dolce_vita_di_adelaide/uu/to_chapter-65/pg-29/ the way she was thinking of him more has a dog/toy than a human being with feelings is not a good sign for a healthy relationship.
The credit page said this is the end of season 2! I'm going to miss this. Hope the hiatus isn't too long
