Since the author didn't give much info on the story, here's my take w/ explanation.
Ray started going to the church and the priest seemed to be attracted to his looks, so eventually they end up together, with Ray being innocent thinking that the priest loves him because of his personality.
Explanation: We didn't get to see much on how the priest took his death, tbh he doesn't even look like he lost someone important to him. So I'm assuming that he's just into guys and coincidentally found his type nearby is available .
He prays for Ray and then Gamiel comes, kinda like how angels descend when you need them(?) except he's a demon, basically he was sent to essentially take the soul of the priest by seduction, but he falls in love instead Then Ray dies, and to the priest it's just 'oh no, no more boom shakalaka on the altar'. Then he starts feeling the eyes that he was talking about, then ofc he'll deduce that it ain't no church goer, so who could it be? Gamiel cosplays like Ray and assuming because of their attachment that's why he's able to see him.
Explanation: Basically Gamiel is like a demon(?) and he answered the call of the priest. The priest starts feeling this eyes staring at him because of the admiration and love Gamiel has for him lol.
So obv it can't be Ray, because man is 6ft underground, so with his iq he can at least figure out it ain't him. He doesn't pay much attention to Gamiel first but his lust gets to him and so he boom boom kapow Gamiel's ass.
Explanation: priest is horny. priest shows heaven to demon.
Then he's tired of having to call the demon Ray and he gets curious, and he sees bits of his og hair color, so he questions, does his cosplay of Ray also comes with Ray's feelings? How does he actually look? Is he pretty? Is he more of my type? That's when he does him at the altar in a scheme to trick Gamiel into confessing his name and true feelings.
Explanation: He could have searched(?) for like things that melt away the demon's cosplay, and he tries holy water and its a success.
Then when he gets Gamiel's name, he essentially gets him in a contract, kinda like how actual priests learn the name of the demon to exorcise them, but in this case so that he can boom shakalaka him unlimited times at his beck and call.
While pouring his seed he essentially wishes what he wants from Gamiel which is boom boom and when he licks the mark, he seals it.
Takeaways : If this is what happened, or even it it didn't, personally I think this story showed that the demon Gamiel was more human than the priest, because he seemed to be capable of truly loving someone, wherein the priest seemed to just want a cock warmer or basically someone to bust.
So moral of the story, the demon is more human and the human is more like a demon(?)
