I love this manga and continue to follow it cause one) it hooked me early, and two) itās interesting. Iām here for the character dynamics and overall outcome. I think the way Koharu is acting is realistic as fuck. I think how each character acts in this manga is relatively easy to relate to. I think the problem that people have with it is that this isnāt Romantic enough. Thereās not enough wish fulfillment outside of it being a harem marriage.... And thatās the point.

Iām not saying that itās perfect. But I will say that it would be hard on the wives. Which is exactly why Madoka left and Koharu is having such a hard time. Having trust issues and insecurities etc. I think that hits the nail on the head better than many of the other harem manga that are typically put out. Like at this point in the manga Koharu isnāt happy Madoka wasnāt happy and that shows that this isnāt a perfect set up. Iām not sure how far you made it but I wouldnāt describe this hare kon as happy and cohesive or perfect. Pretty far from the typical wish fulfillment of harem manga.

It's definitely "closer" to reality than most harem mangas, but it's still very very far from reality.
In reality poligamy is a disaster, but anyway this is pretty good mangas for a harem and the art style is beautiful, sibce it's tagged harem it's normal that the ending will live up to the tag.
Tho I think that if the author were to follow the natural flow of the events, none of these people would've ended up together

This is true especially ācause Koharu was manipulated into the marriage. But despite the plot contrivances, here and there, it was what was done to even have a hare kon. Itās the main point of the manga. Itās not the best writing due to the fact that trying to write something like this with relative realism is hard. Thatās like saying if a protag could solve the overarching problem to anything in the span of an episode due to maybe skill or circumstance the concept shouldnāt exist. What if the writer found a way to have an OP character that still needs 200 chapters of development before they are capable of that feat outside of latent ability? But when it comes down to it. Itās just a manga. Like, most things in manga are unrealistic with some realism, if that. Manga is escapism and wish fulfillment and well... just stories. Itās all subjective. What makes sense to me may not make sense to you. You have experience with polygamy where you come from. I donāt. So the view points we have are going to be extremely different. That goes for the author as well. Thereās no polygamy in japan. Hare Kon is just a story written with a concept in a place that doesnāt have said concept and making it into essentially a soap opera.

Agree!
Since your initial comment mentioned realism, I thought it'd be better to not let anyone think that this is close to the reality of polygamy.
And yeah, it's harem I expect it to end that way, just like I'd expect a shoujo girl to end up with the toxic handsome boy. I don't take it too seriously and hope others don't either, manga is just terrible to use for reference concerning topics like these.

Most definitely! My original comment was just meant to be simple and to the point! Hahaha. But Iām happy I got to talk to someone to explain where I was coming from! And with most manga I donāt take them, at their core, as fact. If something seems like itās supposed to be based on something factual or historical in some way I typically check it out on my own! Especially if it will add to the overarching story! Iāve research polygamy and sat in on an anthropology class when they talked about polygamy, polyandry, etc so I know that this manga is 100% accurate. But itās better than most as I said! Haha! It was great talking with you! :)

Ah same here!
And don't worry, I hope I didn't come off as butthurt I just thought it'd be kinda nice to have a constructive discussion about this!
Who knows maybe someone passing by could suddenly get enlightened by this discussion lmao
All in all it was nice talking to someone who stayed respectful till' the very end (ā ̄(s) ̄ā)
Big brother is doing his best.
