My problem with friends in love is that they always with no exception wait till the mc starts to see someone romantically, that's the moment they get all possessive and confess. They are nice and kind as friends, but they get all possessive, coercive and manipulative once they let their romantic feelings take charge, then they get mad that mc didn't like them back and choose the abusive guy without realising they are a different type of abusive (emotional and coercive in bed at times). So I had to go back and reread because that moment isn’t registering to me. After rereading i know that Omegaverse differs between manhuas and mangas. Normally you can only successfully mark someone during intercourse. I do not even understand what the point of randomly biting him would do, I don’t think it would form a bond because that would be insane it would be that easy to form a permanent bond with someone. I thought it was more to show a sign of possessiveness over the MC since he saw all those hickeys and jealousy flared up. In those same chapters though it was also brought to the attention that the MC was aware of those feelings and as much as he cares about his best friend they should have discussed it before it go too deep. The MC was aware of this, not wanting to talk about the elephant that’s been in the room for a long time because you take comfort of just seeing it there doesn’t excuse them of any blame in how the best friend turns out.
I will never like the ML- their first interaction is rape and everything after that is the grooming of a rape victim. The MC wanted his first time to be with someone out of love not a drunken hook up and after hearing that instead of backing away the ML took it all the way. This is one of the most uncomfortable manhuas to read because if you take away Omegaverse this is a real life rape victim scenario including the grooming afterwards.
